Actually, it all depends on what you want. Personally, I think the YT-2400 series as a freighter was just terrible. There's hardly any decent cargo room. That's even less space for your 'hidden compartments'. I'd go with the falcon. It's faster, decently armed, and more cargo space. That, and the YT-2400 series just looks like an early model B-wing to me.

Also, anyone know if that freighter from X-wing alliance might be in game? Think it was the YT-1400 series.

Can't wait to try out that TIE Deffender though. I was worried they'd dick the empire over and stick us with only TIE Advanced. This will make things interesting.....

Well wait a minute. Snewpy didn't ask about the YT-2400 vs. the YT-1300 series. He asked which was better? The Outrider or the Millenium Falcon. There is a difference.

The Millenium Falcon is about as close to the stock YT-1300 series as a Z-95 Headhunter is to an X-Wing. Both made by the same company, but not really comparable. Same for the Outrider and the YT-2400.

To bring it closer to home, let's use the same analogy with computers instead. A blazingly fast processor (speed) and limitless memory (cargo space) isn't so cool if it constantly crashes on you (failed hyper-jump). Especially in the middle of an important web-conference or report (enemy combat or pursuit).

The most important "what you want" is wanting it to work.

I loved the Tie Defender in the old game too, but I'd really hope that they hold off. Sure there are plenty of continuity rips in SWG already, but I hope they at least wait longer or make it an extremely hard to get Faction item. However, if the Rebel to Imperial ratio remains the same as it is now, then I hope the Tie Defender is included. The uneven Faction numbers might be the reason for it even showing up in the first place. /shrug

Doesn't mean I can't state my opinion on the series itself. :P But for the roles both played more often than not, then yea, the outrider would be a better choice than the falcon.

Eh, I've given up on all continutiy with the game. They're obviously not really carring too much about it. Hell, even the TIE Advanced wasn't mass produced till after the battle of Hoth.(Recall TIE Fighter). And I'm fairly certain that the TD will be a bitch of an item to get. My only other concern at the moment is what ships will a shipwrite be able to build, and what ships will be faction point bought? Based off all the other faction bought items, I'd much rather a shipwright build them. At least then I know they'll be semi-decent.

then you better come to nocturnus where we'll have 2-3 shipwrights and ships on day 1 of jtl

I think both designs blow ass because in neither one the pilot has any idea whats going on on the left side of the ship without using sensors or a HUD of some type. The flight deck should always be somewhere centrifical.

That's what was nice about the Ortana or whatever it was in XWA. Central cockpit. And why would I come to nocturnous for a ship when I'll have my own shipwrite? Why pay when you can get em for free? hehehe.
