So what have we "seen/not seen" from the new SW3 t

seen:

early versions of xwings, ties, imperials shuttle, corellian corvettes

"classic" stormtroopers like we all know and love (the ones with the blue accents behind anakin)


not seen:

a preggers amidala or the twins

no glimpse of boba fett either, which leads me to believe mace windu is gonna get killed by someone else...they couldn't stop showing jango in the previous prequels, and unless boba grows fast, I don't think he'd be old enough to be a bad ass yet



and the scene where windu breaks in and confronts palpatine, I keep seeing this other movie scene in my head....

Actually...that one fighter isnt the pre-cursor to the Xwing. Its actually called the ARC-120 (Assualting Reconnasence/Combat...or something like that). It is made by Incom/Subpro and is a 3 man ship, but theres really no evidence that its design has any bearing on the xwing. Z95's were first built not far off from the rise of the Empire...probably within the first 2-4 years, and THATS where all concepts that we know of for the xwing stem from.

I do think its cool how they incorperated alot of imperial themes into the movie even as its pre_imperial. Like the new Jedi starfighter, and the shuttle we see in the opening scene that looks much like the Lamba we all love.

I second Novall's statement about the z95. Im sure you may recall Wedge or Luke, "they're just like the Z95's we in flew through beggars canyon... Womp rats... blah blah.."

I think those may have been updated clone troopers with anikin, not full on ST's. of course I am often wrong...

not much R2... you do realize the importance of the droids, since they are the first characters you ever saw... ever...
I think its really cool how they are the one constant throughout the saga.

from some of the pictures I think there is some overdone CG... again this goes back to my past rant about tech going backwards, Lucas could have made it just as interesting by making things more primitive in this trilogy.

I havent seen the movies in several years. So I more or less pulled that one out of my rear.
I have not been qualified for my SW knowledge, now if it were "the Big Lebowski" I can be considered an authority on that...

I agree with War here the biggest thing that didn't set right with me from Episode 2 was the fact that every scene was shot in front of a bluescreen and the setting was added with computer graphics. This really created a seperation for me. Instead of emersing me I kept feeling like none of this could be happening like I did with the original trillogy.

As for what we havn't seen so far I have a few things.

1) In several books they metion that in the clone wars alot of jedi joined Dukuu and the Seperatist. I haven't seen that. It would be cool to have a huge battle where hundreds of Jedi are fighting one another.

2) Pregnant Amidalla

3) The destruction of Camasii

4) The clonning of Jedi. This was hinted at in the Thrawn trillogy, after all why would the Emporer only create one clone of a Jedi.

5) The enslavement of the Wookies. I honestly dont see this happening in the movie. Lucas wouldn't end this on a negative note so no wookiee slaves. A hard peice of evidence for this is Republic Commando, at the end you see the Republic invading a seperatist held Kashyyk, and the Wookies aint on the Seperatist side.

I have heard that Chewbacca will be in the ROS but as far as I can tell this is only a rumor.

Its not a rumor. Theres about 5 pics of him on Starwars.com Hyperspace. It even shows pics of them making his costume.

Reasons to look forward to Episode III:

1) Anakin finally looks and sounds dark & sexy
2) The Wookiee battle could actually compete for Hoth's title as the coolest ground battle in all the movies (no Jar Jar and no cute lil Ewoks)
3) As was said, stormtroopers
4) (though he dies) Samuel looks like he really gets to be badass (love Skarr's line)
5) A more interesting Yoda battle--directly against Palpatine??
6) It all comes together and makes A New Hope more dramatically the turning point against the dark side
7) and lastly, a nice shiny brand new Darth Vader suit!

I would like to See Bobba Fett. He would be in his Teens. (An offhand guess but who knows) I think Jar Jar should die. I know! He gets shot by a whole bunch of darts!

Anyhow, I cannot wait to see it. My freinds said after he saw the preveiw he dose not want to go to it. I looked at him and said "Well maby you could leads us Jar Jar" Doing my best to sound like Jar Jar from a A lost hope (My friends had scene it with me already so he knew what I was doing) He busted up laughing. I Hope we get to see the clone comandos as well, they could be the guys who inspire the Dark/Nova troopers.
