Perhapse a Contriversial Idea

I've heard alot of missgivings on the CU that is only hours away from goining live. People hate that they are taking away the ability to solo hunt, uber buff, the graphics on specials, and the unique combat system. I've seen people even begin to start petitions to try to get SOE to drop the CU even though they've already put some time and money into the project. Personally with or without the CU I would still play this game for no other reason than the rare occation that I can meet up with you people here in-game. The game itself was boring to me and I felt that if I wasn't interacting with people, from these board or from else where, that I was wasting my time. The CU at the very least is giving me a chance to rediscover the game and for that I am content. My profession seems to no longer be a joke (we'll see how long that last after the jedi begin their b!@$h fest) and I think I will have some fun seeing how I fare against the jedi on our server. However I will not ignore the fact that people are dis-satisfied with the CU, but ask yourselves are you really dis-satisfied with the CU or the way SOE has handled their responcibility of producing a Star Wars game. I put forward that not only we here but the SWG community as a hole send e-mails and messages to Lucas Arts asking them to give the licens to someone who will fix the game and accually give it propper dedication.

Noble intentions, Jerrel. But in my opinion, the only vote that LA or SOE listen to are subscriptions vs. cancellations...and not even the "threat" of cancellations.

Keer said it first, no matter how many petitions you sign, no matter how many e-mails, PMs, and tickets you submit you will not sway the company. I'm sorry but the masses will not be heard. A team of developers living on Jolt Cola and Ding Dongs for several months have revamped their game will let nothing short of Hurricane A-Z stop them from rolling forward. The only thing you can expect is they pad the event a bit with incentives like the double XP bonus.

Here is your options in reality:
- Love it or hate it but adapt nonetheless. Get used to the fact that this is how combat will be from now on. Give it a month and see if it really ruined the game for you. If not enjoy and have fun.

- Snatch that credit card number back and let go of your account. Give a new game a try or spend time with the family on camping trips. Both very rewarding experiences save poison oak in bad places.

Personaly I'm fine with the game in general. I play it for what it is and I have no delusions that this is a superb game. I play it cause I like Star Wars and I enjoy the company of my fellow Tales Roleplayers. I do however think that anyone who accually believes that signing a petition and sending it to SOE would have their time better spent by sending it to LA instead. In doing so you are in essence going over SOE head and callin up the boss, even though the boss is in all likely hood less interested in what you have to say than the guy who's head your going over. What would make such a petition effective is cordinating all who sign to cancel their accounts all at the exact same moment and send the petition at the same moment as the cancelations.

I was hunting last year and I was stupid enough to not realize I had been sleeping in poison oak. So from the face down I was red. For the longest time my wife called me a redneck because my neck stayed red for three extra weeks. Though back then she was my Fianc'ee but at any rate that was very unpleasent.

At any rate this Cu will not affectme the slightest. I will adapt fast and be back on the bounty trade once again. And for all you out there...

I like the looks of Ubese, very flattering...even if it is always tattered. Composite is ugly, especially on the "large torso" females...makes 'em look like my grandmother, without the corset.
