Snoogans.
Anybody know....does he have another flick coming out anytime soon?
Kevin Smith's Review of RotS...
Well, he WAS working on the prequel to Fletch, but I haven't heard much about that. I do know he's working on a sequel to Clerks that's going to be in black and white and star all the original people. He's also hinted that he's been helping Lucas write the Star Wars TV series, but that has yet to be 100% confirmed...although at Celebration III Lucas stated that 10 episodes of the show were already written and it'd be hard for Lucas to write them at the same time he was making EPIII.Krusshyk wrote:Snoogans.

Yeah but if you look at the end of the credits for like Chasing Amy or Dogma he lists his next movie as Clerks 2 (and I think even puts Electric Boogaloo after it). He's said in a few interviews too that he's going to revisit them.Novall wrote:I didnt think he was gonna do any more movies of the Tri-City group? Didnt he say he was done after J&SB Strike back?
I think he actually said that there will no longer be Jay and Silent Bob in any of his movies, because quite honestly, they've become excessively trite and take away from the enjoyment factor of the film, at least after Strike Back.

He did say that, but a while back on his blog, he said that he got some ideas for a Clerks sequel and started writing down idea and when he was done he thought they were some of the funniest scenes he'd ever written...so he's going back to the well.X'an Shin wrote:Yeah but if you look at the end of the credits for like Chasing Amy or Dogma he lists his next movie as Clerks 2 (and I think even puts Electric Boogaloo after it). I wholly support another Clerks movie AND the removal of Jay and the tubby bitch.
That gig is tired. And Randall was f-ing hilarious. Bring him back. What the hell...bring back the dead guy in the crapper too...good times.

Kevin Smith rocks! He is one of the most talented writer/directors of the 1990's. He's had runs on Daredevil and I believe Green Arrow(well something with green in it--all I remember is the cover looked like Robin Hood). There's a good bet that if Kevin says it's a good flick, it is. He's really not known for embracing shit and usually calls it like it is.
I had my doubts about Episode III. Now I'm psyched...

Once you start down the geek path, forever will it dominate your destiny.
Did you really think you could escape the hype?
We're all in its grasp. And we will all go and see this movie, and we will be anxcious to do so (i already am). And some of us will even go and see it twice. I will.
And in twenty years from now some of us will think of these days and remember that we loved these movies more than we admited.
Yes, i do like Episode 1. And 2, even with all its flaws.

I had to resurrect this thread to share one thing...
On RottenTomatoes.com they came out in droves to both praise and bash Kevin Smith's review of EPIII. The great part is he actually posted to defend himself.
One of the greatest replies I have ever read...

He just went up 10 notches in my book. I have a lot of repsect for a celebrity who steps up to thow the shit back at 'em. I do crack up at how many people started kissing his ass when they saw his post.

I like his style...his best responses?
"...those films were liked by some and not liked by others. This represented a development heretofore never recorded in over 100 years of cinema history."
and
"...if I can't spare a few minutes to show up the jackasses in life, I'm not living to my fullest potential."
I have a new hero.

There is nothing funnier than verbally pwning someone that more than likely has no clue what you are talking about. It is very gratifying, too!
