Is that the same as a Krayt pearl? I've seen some good knockoff "Kryat" pearls made by Ugnaughts in the Cloud City incinerator.
These come from the gullets of Diagonas (trash compactor beasts) and are so near-genuine that the scam is only revealed upon the first "snap-hiss-humm" of the lightsaber.

Even worse are those Trandosan eggs that Skor was trying to pawn off as "pearls". It sounded like a good deal so I bought in bulk.
Imagine looking forward to building yourself a nice saber.. then you wake up one morning with 50+ little Skor's hatching in your living room saying, "mama!"
Do you have any idea what the grocery bill was for that brood? Bantha's are not cheap you know. I eventually had to dress them as jawas and herd them to the nearest sandcrawler.
