Having Problem With Running Galaxies

Ok here's whats happening. I will log on and play for 20 to 60 minutes and then the screen frezzes then goes black then comes back but the screen looks like you just hit Ctrl+Esc, then the game goes back to normal but I get the cursor for the desk top not the game. I can move this cursor over where SWG would be if it was minimized and clicking on it will set things right with the game, but when I leave the game all the shortcuts on the desktop are twice their set size. When I continue playing this might happen a couple more times at the same time intervolve as stated above or it will give out what I can only describe as an electronic scream then the screen goes black puting it in power saving mode and turning on and off does nothing even though the comp is still on. The only way I can bypass it at this point is to hit the restart button on the tower.

Any ideas what might be wrong and if it is fixable? I know I'm leaving and all but I'd hate to have this happen durring the going away hunt in the DWB Monday.
