The Josiah Emery watch is one of only 22 examples of the master watchmaker's timepieces still in existence, and its rarity and history have prompted auction house Sotheby's to give it a price tag of 350,000 pounds ($640,000).
It will be the star of a sale of Nelson memorabilia in London on October 5 that also includes a portrait of Nelson and a large fragment of the Union Jack flag from HMS Victory that was used to cover his body as it was carried through London.
