we hadn't had even a tv there until this year (can't get anything off an antenna) because my parents got a dish, so they can keep in contact with the real world...even so, I only watched the news at dinner, or maybe a Family Guy repeat now and then
so let's see, there was:
great weather...the day it hit 104 in chicago, it was 85 with a strong breeze, the next day the high was 70, with a low in the upper 30's...generally the weather was 70-80 range and nice...it rained just once
fishing wasn't too bad for this time of year, but a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working
I actually went golfing too...on this supremely hard 9 hole course carved out of the middle of the forest hills...shot a 67

got my remote control tunnel hull speedboat fixed and running real well...it looks like this except it's just under 2 feet long

but mine will still do 40 mph in the straightaways, and turn on a dime...it's kinda funny that I have the fastest boat on the entire lake, and I think it has 1 hp

Got to observe plenty of wildlife, but no bears or wolves or moose

And there were almost no mosquitos this summer due to such a dry spring...I only got about 6 bites in two weeks...usually I'd get up to 6 a day (they like me)
As usual I got to catch up on my reading, and I read 1900 pages of books, all stephen king actually, which can get kinda creepy when you realize how far away from civilization you are, and how absolutely pitch black it is at night...I usually read a lot more than even that, but I was busy with my projects...
the rest of the time I was working on the crafting projects I created for myself... I don't know what it is up there, but I feel the need to work with my hands, to create and get messy...so here's some pics...

and to finish the day I would watch the sun go down and just enjoy

When I retire, this is where I'll be...
