As a strict constructionist I have to disagree the first amendment gives us freedom of speach not expresion. We dont even have a right to privacy but hey judges like to make law not interpret law.

Before any flame can start I do believe that there should be new amendments to give us the freedom of experesion and the right to privacy.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It sounds to me like a lap dance in a strip club is at a minimum a peaceful assembly of people. =)

I don't think that consenting adults should be subjected to the laws of the state in a private club. Like the ban on smoking in public many states are going with. And as far as a strip club. You pay to go in there. It isn't like you are forced in there against your will. If you want to waste your money on whatever services they provide for whatever reason, that is on you. The state should have no say on it.

I am more for individual rights than states rights. If you want to go jump off a bridge and die fine. Just make sure you got the money to have it cleaned up otherwise you are likely to be sold for research to pay off your debt.
