"MOBs" is an acronym? I've never seen anyone write it that way to suggest it was, and I had no idea, I just thought "mob" was like...you know...like some crazy internets lingo weird reference to the mafia or something. "A big posse of bad guys."

I'm clueless. Fill me in if it means something...if I'm getting excited over nothing, well...um. Pretend I didn't ask.

I read, maybe here, maybe a link from here, that they are called that simply because they always sit around one place like a, well... mob.

MOB - MOB" is an old programming acronym of Mobile Object Block. Mobs are all computer controlled characters in the game. You should likely use some other term such as monster, creep, or bad guy.
