Regretted Announcement: Minus the flamewar (hopefully)

As of now, TTF has struggled with a topic for awhile. There has been a raging debate over whether we should continue to endure abuse at rp events simply for being imp, was it worth it. Sure we get 2-3 people who tell us "that's awesome, great job" but its in private, in tells, meanwhile 10 people in spatial decide to go off on us for "ruining their event"

Now tonight was the final straw. We show up in a complete imperial unit...only this time we decided to be lighthearted, we came as "a random squad" who was misinformed about a rebel base. We bumbled around like fools on purpose. However, even in this lighthearted manner, it wasn't long before someone was spitting, slapping, and going off and of course our favorite follow up to that: not accepting any fight.

The evening was capped when they realized 2 of our members were overt and decided to call in a non rp gank squad (we then went overt and met them at the starport to give them a good spanking) after we returned there was no "hey sorry that non rpers are attacking you" etc etc. The stuff we would say in the same situation. One of the said rebel idiots then came back when we tried to return to rping, and spammed the /laugh macro so he could "hump" various people. First the imps, then the band, and these same people whow ere so deeply offended by our rude imperial presence, thought this was a-okay.

So, TTF will no longer be attending any events other than the roba, and possibly club midnight. Now no one in ttf is "banned" from these events by me or the officers. We're not disallowing members to attend. However, as a guild, we'll find something better to do.

It should be noted, the sad nature of this night was, we wanted to give them a good time, we heard the event was DEAD and wanted to show our support by coming out and having a good time. Our thanks was an idiot in pink hotpants, a macro humping wookiee, and everyone's favorite "RP Jedi Jedi" "wtfpwning" the couple of guys who were overt and being jackasses about it.

Well you're already one up on me. I usually hear about rp events and have to say I never heard of anything ever happening where you guys were last night. It is a shame that people claim to hold a rp event and then clearly aren't rp'ing...or if they are, they choose to rp @sshats.

Thank you for going though since it has cemented for me that I will also only attend the Roba, Club Midnight, or any other event sponsored by a member of this community. I hate to be close minded like this and usually like to see some new people trying to start their own events, but it just isn't worth the aggravation imo.
