Suggestions for Venues & Events for GCW RP + PvP

Is the community interested? Keep in mind that for rebel players, it is preferred that they can act anonymously so they can remain IC at other venues.

This is a brainstorming post to get other types of RP events involving the GCW

How about some old fashioned scenarios to set up mini plots? A small Rebel force have a droid with some plans or information they stole, they need to transport it from point A to point B, it requires a bit of a trek through Imperial controlled port X and a trek over some trecherous land...and the Imperials were tipped off by someone (oh no, who's the leak??) and are looking for them or waiting for them somewhere along the route. The Rebels are surprised and have to fight to survive the onslaught!

Or, an Imperial official is coming to visit a remote outpost to investigate claims of fraud, treachery, and dirty socks in the ranks. The Alliance learn of his visit and decide to make a guerrilla attack on the base in an attempt to weaken morale and sort of in general make the Imps look like poopooheads. Will they succeed? Is it an attempt on the Imperial official's life? What question will the narrator ask next?

As we all know, travel to and from Dathomir is restricted. A generic Rebel transport carrying important ambassadors has been shot down! They need evac off the planet immediately. The Imperials know they are there but not where the ship was exactly shot down--they have a general area to start looking. They must discover what ambassadors are wanting to defect to the treacherous Rebellion before they make it off the planet!

There's three ideas that could be fleshed out as events/mini-plots. Set up each team with allowed equipment/starting points and objectives, maybe assign some people as NPCs if necessary, and ready-set-go.

There is a vast untapped venue here I think. And I think a good one that we 'can' moderate to an extent in game.

Some of the possibilities enclude but are not limited to:

1) Create our own battlefield confrontations.
2) Covert activity on both sides within the Overt of the others. In other words, behind enemy lines spy, smuggling, recruitment opperations.
3) Story Arcs centering around Space Battles.

This barely scratches the surface but I think we could coordinate some events we could 'all' enjoy if we put our collective minds to it.

Yeah, mini-plots and battles are a huge source of fun that we have yet to tap into. We've done it once or twice and it was really cool. I recall Nyase did a nice job of running these in the past.


We really need to have a GM per event to set the stage. With some of the new "RP tools" like treasure chests, we can put together some interesting games.


I've always been interested in these games. In fact, my failed Mos-Eisley Mayhem event was a game where the rebels were trying to blow up some imperial structure before the Empire could find them. Nobody showed up.. but the idea is still cool dammit!

Unfortunately this was a difficult one to split out and I am not sure I got it right. i tried to get it where the screwiness began but I may have grabbed a few that would still fit here. Try to keep on topic with ideas about events and locations for these events. If you want to debate how details involving pvp should go move it to the other post. It will be easier throw around event suggestions here.

If you like an idea create a seperate thread for it. There you can work out how you want to run the details of the events. This will make it easier to work out individual events instead of jumbling a bunch of random thoughts in this one.
