Repetitive Personal Attacks

Personal attacks of an idividual, reguardless of how deserving the person may be, not only demeans the resipiant but the one who is attacking. When this becomes repetitive the weight of the attackers words loses any meaning. I once knew a guy who was so hung up on bashing some guy he knew that that was all he talked about when I was around. Needless to say I didn't hang with the guy for very long. To bring it up another's faults once every other week is human but to bring it up every day just makes the person attacking a nusance.

I bring this up because I've seen some here come close to doing that. They are desent people and sometimes they get a little carried away with their posts. I think what is lacking is a certain level of tact. When one does it here on our boards a casual veiwer would see this and just dismiss the person and form then on that person views the attacker as some one vindictive and not worth concideration regaurdless weather he or she has some vaild things to say on latter posts. When the attacker is associated with a guild the same casual viewer make associated this behavior with the guild and form that point forward the viewer may view the guild in a negative perspective.

Lets just stop this. Is it fun to do when you need to vent? Yeah. But when there is a line when it becomes to much. When you find yourself going on and on about it for several days in a row it's no longer venting its obsessing.

Is this a rant? Not really I'm not mad, just sad and tired of it. Consider this a vent. I know many of you who do this a good people but next time you feel like placing a personal attack in a post think about now many times you've done it to the same person and think of a more diplomatic way to point out their flaws in logic, hummor, opinion, or ingame actions instead of goining with a personal attack. If the person then comes back and attacks you we all will see who the bigger person is and think the better of him or her.
