I thought it might be nice to have folks have a resource to possibly use if they wanted to do some specific roleplay, meaning they needed folks that were known rebels, or secretly Imperial, just plain unaffiliated, etc.
Basically some bits of info that would let you know what characters or groups to contact to help tell a story or execute a scenario.
To that end a lot of times for a story you might need to work with someone that you had similar inclinations. Many times characters on the surface appear to be one then when they are really something else entirely. I thought we could have both a group and individual thread listing folks, and how they are perceived by the general populace versus what lies beneath the surface. That leads me to perception versus reality, I am going to post a thread for individuals to list them themselves on as well as a thread for organizations. For the comic book fans out there think a watered down version of a Who's Who or OHTMU entry.
Hopefully this will help folks find characters specific to their roleplay
needs, or in some cases whole organizations that will figure into a particular storyline you wish to create.

Perception versus reality (to aid in furthering roleplay)

I think he means somewhere along the lines of:
Batak Sai'nu (in game Rebel): Though I chose to play Rebel I play my character as more an ex-Rebel and am more affiliated with Temple and just as likely to serve Imperial goals as I am Rebel ones depending on the situation and how my character thinks it reflects with the teachings of The Goddess.
Only... listing for everyone on the site in one thread. Yes, no?

Alonzo: silver-tongued devil to the finest. In character he's your best friend if he can stand to gain anything from you, and would support you 100% against your enemies...of course he tells the same thing to your enemies. Zo used to (back when he was WS) sell mines to the rebels in New Hope (the town not the movie) but would tell his imperial customers "when i make these guns for you, i put extra time and effort into them, knowing that in some small way I could be responsible for the death of a rebel scum by making the most accurate and deadly guns for the grand imperial army" Basically zo has always been a villain, people seemed too content to tkae that surface personality as solid, so i've been forced in recent months to be more "villainous" on the surface just to get people to actually treat me like a bad guy.
List of Zo's villainous actions while everyone thought he was the friendly rebel:
**Convincing his wookiee guildmate (Droggy) to come out of his retirement of hunting sentient beings, to help hunt down jedi and murder them, this was done by lying to him about jedi slaughtering his people on Kashyyyk.
**Giving one guild vastly inferior arms before going intoa guildwar, guaranteeing their loss, so that he could come out with "brand NEW" guns to sell them when they came back.
**Various blackmail and intimidation on his members
**Seducing a female guildmate for purposes of securing her promotion, only to terminate her employment the next day (ok in ooc she was leaving anyway but still....you take your chances as a villain when able)
TTF: Loyal to themselves 100%, all about profit. Greed Greed Greed. Despite a surface unwavering loyalty to the empire, very willing to sell to the rebels if the price is right. The Imperial loyalty is just a sham to prevent the Empire from meddling in their trade or imposing restrictions (or slaughtering the federation)
again, what has happened? people take the surface loyalty as the case....why won't people even TRY to dig deeper?
SORAIN:
Zabrak but don't tell him that. He is so screwed up in the head he actually denies his "alien" heritage. you won't catch him without something covering his horns, and he will become violent towards any who "remind" him of his heritage. Loyal imperial but only because of his hatred of the "alien" cultures. An expert at demolitions and explosives, and heavy weaponry. Sorain is best when engaged by multiple targets, often taking out entire squads by himself.
deeper down: Why is he so messed up? Ok, i'll admit it, i dunno. Everything I come up with seems pretty lame...but i like the concept, so i'll eventually figure out a past or work through one.

I'd like to suggest that the profiles we have on the website and available for browsing already fill the longer function of this idea if people will use the site.
However, if people would like to organize a more concise list I offer to help set one up in the RP Contact List forum. For quick browsing, it would be easy to read sections split into Imperial, Rebel, and Neutral characters.
Information could be submitted like this:
Faction--Name--Appears as faction, affiliated with group/guild, profession
Dwilah's and Kellar's information would be submitted like this:
Neutral--Dwilah Thi'nel--Civilian, Midnight Coalition, doctor and pirate.
Imperial--Kellar Honso--Imperial military, Trade Sec, ground trooper and scout.
You get the idea. What do you guys think about that? I think that sections of characters submitted like that would be easier to find for events, and once characters were identified as interesting, their profiles could be found on the Tales website or the info could be requested from the user if they don't have a profile up.

Those are exactly what I was thinking about, if more detailed then most will likely be, nice work! I wanted to try to use the public forum as a lot of folks skimming the site might not see or utilize the existing threads containing this sort of information.
Dwilah I just wanted a list of characters with snippets letting us know whatDwilah wrote:I'd like to suggest that the profiles we have on the website and available for browsing already fill the longer function of this idea if people will use the site.

is publicly known about them as well as what they actually are so the players of characters could work together to put together a story arc etc.
Alonzo I am going to copy yer 2 bio's to the other thread I started for characters.
