What Effect Will NGE Have on Game Economy?

I've heard that there will no longer be any need for minerals, gasses, hides, ecetra to build new weapons, armor, or anything else. This got me to wondering what effects would the change have on our economy. I remeber a long time ago I made a thread about the forced defation by making all mission payout according to group size and not proxsimity to the lair. Some of you expressed interest in the evolvong economy of the game and I was wonder what every one's thoughts are now.

I honestly don't think it'll change a whole lot.

They've said crafting will remain the same. This means those materials will not likely be removed from game... leaving the need for them in.

Decay seems to be the biggest issue.

There are plenty of money sinks still in game. Better weapons to get... repairs to speeders to be made... new ships to buy... houses to upkeep.

It may simply shift more heavily toward one spectrum over another now is all.

Overall, I don't look for it to change.

Vehicle restoration kits to buy....

There is plenty of consumables as well. From what I've read, each branch or trader will include Master Merchant and Master Artisan. That will mean, low end foods, weapon power-ups, the aformentioned restoration kits will be craftable by each specilized trader.

The Restoration kits I don't think will lower in price at all. So, unless your using that second slot for a personal money sink deterent (aka, to craft your own with your alt); I think those will continue to be a pain in the butt to make and expensive to buy.

Weapon Power-ups... I keep remembering a thread where they said they were taking these out of game. Don't be surprised if you see all of these disappear on ya when you log in tomorrow.

My trader had to use minerals and chemicals to craft some items JUST for the intro quest, so I'm pretty sure nothing has changed in the crafting department. I couldn't hit enter to go to the next crafting step, and that sucked, and I hope that changes before live.
