I have to say that I'm glad for Richard Simmons. Why? Because if not for him then Eddie Murphy would have never created the "Little Richard Simmons" character on Saturday Night Live. Then and now, it's one of my all time favorite hilarious skits.

Thus, Richard Simmons' entire existence has been validated.
