Well this forum seems to be full of them and so its my turn:

I am sorry for being an ass the past week. Even though I am still not entirely sure the angle Oporim was going for, he was right. I have been belting out the jabs at SOE without much thought.

So I wanted to say sorry to busting up people's morale. I do have an idea about changing some stuff around here and as soon as the brass approves it I think you will see these forums getting very busy again. Not to mention much more "star warsy". I say that in a non-SOE sort of way, of course.

Again, my apologies to Oporim and the community.

Jabe, as far as I am concerned, it is OK. I don't hold grudge on people and I know I may have been misunderstood with my first post there, so after that everything went down the sewers. It is my fault also, for trying to point it out and using some specific words in an already so heated atmosphere.

Fantasy MMORPGs just don't do it for me.

Star Trek, seems to... plastic. If the world gets a little dirty, just hose it off and it's all bright and shiny again.

Matrix, everything I hear says it's just bad.

EVE, good but not really for RP from what I hear.

If SWG goes, I guess I'll just wait for the Farscape MMORPG and hope it's good....

I think if everyone visted the Enclaves they might have at least a slight understanding of why some of us Jedi feel the way we do.

Seeing it just leaves you speachless, it's like actually seeing the pinacle of SWG, and then as the reality of it wasting away and all the changes flood back into your mind it just leaves you feeling empty and that the game took a wrong turn somewhere.

True... but ever the optimist, this dreamer will never give up. After all, we have a workable solution to player bounties SOE not withstanding, with a little bumps, the guild was was a sucess. What's to prevent us from creating a workable force ranking system?

From what I understand of the pen and paper RP games, this is how things got done. If you wanted something and it wasn't there, you make it up.

Well, I did some digging into the 'Jedi Files'... no David Duchovney nor Gillian Anderson sadly. What I did come across was page after page of some very in debth Pre-CU, CU, and even some tentative NGE corrected items guide for Jedi. Truthfully, I was only looking for waypoints to the Enclaves (which I have now and plan on going to see... you all know how much I've loved the profession before I even got it.)

Anyway, more to the point, it wasn't until about half way through this guide of crystals I'd never even heard of, well organized guide to specials, dealing with PvP and your Knight trials that I just stopped and... in Hashum's words... I'm speachless about the NGE condensed version of this Guide... it more or less throws it ALL away. I do plan on posting something after I see these Enclaves for myself.

I guess my Apology is to the Vets here within the community that may feel I'm being too bolsterous in trying to push as much possitivity as I can into the community and game right now. I truly do know what has been taken away... I'm just trying to deal with what we have at hand right now.

What you're trying to do is good, and I'm sure it's working to at least some extent. And I think I'm rather familiar with the guide you were reading as from your brief description I recall having read it several time myself. So yes it is for those very reason's that I probably feel the way I do right now.

I had taken some screenies of Hashum there, believe me you'll enjoy it, just don't attack anything. The CL 500 Sentinal's can be a pain.

Where are the so called "Enclaves"? I haven't been in game since they tanked modal chat and didn't have a very fond experience with the NGE, so I haven't really done any exploring.

You'd have to google the waypoints. You'll only get in to the Enclaves for the side you're on, Rebel=Light and Imperial=Dark. Unless you can solo two level 500 Jedi Sentinels.

sorry to hijack the thread, but are they actually planning a Farscape MMO?? If so I AM SOOO THERE!

I just saw the LS Enclave for the first time.... breath taking... beautiful... none of this does it justice. I'm reminded of movie history yet again (but not Star Wars)... and I think this may be the feeling... Conan sat upon his throne; his crown upon a troubled brow....

I look down... but the throne is empty... the council is vacant... and I almost feel like this is a tomb made just for me...

It's only a game... but there is emotion in the place where I stand in game right now.

Edit: Sorry but "Exactly" just wasn't enough. I recommend anyone that can visit the Enclaves on Yavin IV. As Batty said as soon as you stop inside and see the main chamber it's like adrenaline suddenly rushes through your veins, and you are immediately in awe and yet have a new awareness of SWG.

I can say that I've never seen or experienced anything like the Enclaves in any game before. The RP potential there is huge, but even the thought of having to make something simple like that to use something SOE had made so great seems like a waste.

I just can't stress enough the magnitude of this site. It is the Climax of what SWG would, could, and should have been.
