During the Course of 'The Legacy' Quest you'll venture to many caves and recieve updates to kill some named npc/npc types. If you find your getting frustrated because you've killed x number of a type of npc and don't see updating in your on screen log; make sure your doing them in order. The new quests are very touchy about doing things in order. So, if you kill a boss before your suppose to... you may have to wait for the npc to spawn again.
On Quest missions where you get bugged waypoints or no spawn... simply make sure you do a bug report. There are areas in the Legacy Quest where Server resets seem to be fixing the problems. Just have some patience.
Also, sometimes it is not important for you to follow the waypoint dots if the same type npc/creature is at your current possition. In other words, it doesn't matter where you kill Valarian Henchmen, for example, just so long as you kill that many for a quest.
Hope this helps a little.
NGE Quest Tips/Krayt Hunting/Vettes and more...

Been doing some extensive Vette missions and a Krayt hunt follow up tonight. I haven't had this much fun in quite some time; since the first initial weeks of NGE going live at least.
The Vettes work in very much the same way they have been; loot still seems good here as well. With the 'loot' centered and 'stat' centered NGE this seems to be where we have good potential for +18-20 drops on armor and clothings. (Constitution, Luck, Strength bonuses, etc, etc...)
On Krayts it seems that there is a decent drop rate on Pearls for now and plenty of spawns.
The AI seems a bit tricky... but this is clearly a ranged game against these critters for now. Some tactics that seem to be working are 'hit and fade'. In group the critter tends to chace after one individual for a kill before switching off now. However, if you stop shooting it'll go for another. Our group theorized that it might be possible to 'swap' aggro without winding up getting killed in the domino affect this way.
More testing and info to come. But thus far it's been a blast. I've even managed to use my saber very effectively on the Vette. Close quarters... go figure. Smile

So what are the baddies like on the vette? What kinda group do you think you need to make it thru?

As far as the Vette goes, you can easily solo the Rescue/Destroy missions as a CL1 Trader/Entertainer.
I've done it twice in the last two nights.
Heaven help you if you actually have to fight.

Mostly CL80 and 81. Some are higher, droids go to 85 I think.

Spys make it alot easier, run then stop in a safe place and do a mental count to let the server catch up then hit smoke grenade to de-agro.
A Spy can take out a single Corsect Trooper with the use of Venonm cloud, their heal and smoke.
Expect to die and die often.
Traders and entertainers can run through it to get the badge, The real reward is actually taking on the mob. I have some nice assault armor, recon and battle armor peices. I haven't bio-linked them yet because the the suit I have ( made by an AS ) has a better armor rating.

Right now, yes, expect to die a lot unless you work in at least well organized pairs. I still had a lot of fun with this and will be trying it again. The Krayt hunting... we've still got to prove that theory I was talking about right or wrong.

Semi-related to the loot but I'll throw this in tips since this is more about tips to surviving as well: Do NOT delete your Terrain Nav clothes. Their still good and function.
In fact, this is one of the best ways to manuever in the environment right now without a 'scout' tree.

I just wanted to say that the quests are the best part of the NGE by far. The have good stories and are engaging. I ran the level 1-12 Mos Eisely quests and had fun. I got useful items which I am wearing even as a level 80.
Iselh told me to check out the quests on Naboo. I will be doing this tonight. I am close to leveling up and I barely ever felt like I was actually grinding. This aspect of them is exceptional thus far. Despite at least one quest that is apparently bugged.

Can anyone provide some names/locs for these quests? The only ones I know of are the Mustafar quests and the ones I've already done.

Yeah I'd like this info too.Shensen wrote:Can anyone provide some names/locs for these quests? The only ones I know of are the Mustafar quests and the ones I've already done.

I forget the name... but it all starts with a Twi'lek just to your left as you come out of the Mos Eisley Starport. *grin* This is the other part of what I've been doing since NGE hit. It's been a blast.
I think the Fixes today were suppose to fix the Naboo portion of the Legacy Quest so it should be able to be continued now. I'll have to check it tonight... but if you were to run it all the way through... expect to take a few nights doing it if you really want to enjoy the story.

There are a few things to note about the Profession Quests. At least from my experience I've seen the Starter Lvls go through them without a hitch.
However if you try to do them at CL 80... they appear to be uncompletable in places. I'm thinking this was done on purpose at this point. I'll try and keep an eye on it though for some more input.

((This'll be a dbl post since it deals with Quest tips and consideration of using you Specials))
This is for Vette Runs (Specifically for Jedi)
A tactic I will use is taking a little damage first. Why would I do that? Well, here's why:
After I take some damage I've also been dealing it out a little. Then I throw up my Force block. I usually throw up a deffensive and offensive damage buffer as well before I engage.
What does this do? Well, with how the timers work if I simply block/buff/fight and then start healing after my block goes down; I've waisted a little bit of combat time. Possibly 10 seconds of it. If I take damage first then block I've prolonged the fight because I usually have time to cycle through 2 heals with the block up.
I set my buffs. I take damage (perhaps a 1/3rd). I block. I heal. I deal out my damage specials and basic attack. Now that my block goes down and I may have more than one enemy attacking me... I've extended my heal zone a few seconds because I went ahead and took a few the first time. Works like a charm for me... this is how I've been able to take up to 3 white bar elites at the same time on the Vette so far.
And, yes, you have to pay attention to your Action. A special will not fire off if you don't have the action for it.
