Serious Security Issue in IE6

Some of you read my post on the MMB board regarding Mozilla. Another critical IE flaw has been discovered that could log all your keystrokes. This bug was patched 6 years ago and was somehow re-implemented in recent version of IE.

not to downgrade mozilla or say its more secure, but if you're a hacker, and want to hack ito the most people's computers, you're gonna go after the software that most people use, and that's MS whatever...I'm not a fanboy of MS by any means, but hackers are going to go after what people use most...

I agree 100%. If mozilla had the same market share I am sure it would be thoroughly exploited. I just know that the likeliness of an exploit of this magnitude is very low for two reasons:

1) Mozilla is a simple browser. (The install is under 5 megs.) The fewer doors their are, the fewer potential exploits.

2) Mozilla is not that popular. Security through obscurity.

I guess my point is that I don't miss having to run spybot and adaware to fix my system anymore. And I think people should give it a shot.

I agree. I think there is a conspiracy with MS and the security companies? Bigger profits for both..

I officially give up. I don't understand how devs can take a program that is only supposed to parse text and make it holy like this.
