Yes, I bet it is. I was born and raised in Ohio and I do miss the snow at times. Especially around this time of year. I'm just needling a bit not gloating.. I just got off of the phone recently with Ohio relatives and their recounting of the mighty snow ball fights! Miss them.

Though, I do not miss the cold mornings of waking up an extra 20 mins early to shovel the drive way . Then waiting maybe another 20 mins after work to un-avalanche my car in the parking lot, defreeze the locks, etc. before making the drive. And repeat the driveway shovel to get my car back in the garage. Just reminiscing.

Though even then, I thought that I was a winter veteran until I spent one in North Dakota. There are few words to describe the cold there.

Never been there...but I've been somewhere better. Ever sledded down a ski jump hill?

We snuck in here in the middle of the night a coupla times when I was about 16. No, we didn't go off the jump. Flying down the hill on your stomach on a boat sled was plenty.

If I had a few less responsibilities and a bunch less pounds (to slide under the chainlink barbwire fence) I'd be there again in a heartbeat.

I hate getting snow in my ears!

I need new front tires on my truck, and I have neglected putting the new wiper blades on the car... excuse to my wife is that I haven't gotten the maximum life out of the old ones.

Stop being so stingy, Whar, and put those wipers on! If she wanted to be a widow, she could allways take a frying pan to you.

you do know "max life" for wiper blades is just 6 months?

That's why i opt for just the metal part. Sure there is alot of screaching but it's fun to watch the pedestrians and nearby drivers cringe when it rains or snows.

They are also worn down enought at this point so they are like razors.

well... the passenger one only half works, and I drive the car to work...

She could walk, but she drives the truck the whole two blocks to work. It saves us gas money since the truck is like the machine from fern gulley (movie we were forced to watch in school by hippies)

Coolest story I've got is when it'd snow and my brother would set me down on a lunch tray sled me around over a brick road we had by one of our first houses in Illinois. It was icy, bumpy, and fun! :snowspeeder

Visited him once while he was going to Cornell University as well. This place is up on this huuuuuge hill. Crazy part is when winter hit some of the professors would actually join in with the students and steal some lunch trays from the cafeteria there to sled down this crazy ass bank. Why crazy? because at the end there was a gaurdrail and on either side a big ass drop off with a one way ticket to the doc's office.

Winter rocks though... if it weren't so damn cold. :wompa

I used to like winter despite the cold and I think I could like it again if all companies had off on snowdays and therefore I didn't have to drive in it.

Imagine the joy..

Wife: "Hey kids, no school today."
Kids: "Yay!"
Wife yells into the bathroom where hubby is preparing for another day in corporate hell: "Honey, no work today"
Hubby: "WOOT! I'm going to play on the computer ALL DAY!"
Kids: "Nuh Uh we're going on the puter!"
Hubby: "Are not!"
Kids: "Are so!"
x5
Wife: "That's it! NO ONE is going on the computer! Kids, go clean your room, and you go shovel the driveway."
Kids: "Awwwwww.."
Hubby: "But we have a snowblower - "
Wife: "Shovel."

Hmm, perhaps winter isn't so bad. Definitely colder in the house :)
