Dark Monitors

Post Reply
My monitor has been really dark, or something--I discovered it when I made a few banners and happened to look at them at school and thought, holy crap, you can totally see where I drew all over them in photoshop, but it looks completely black at home.

Well, I turned up my brightness finally tonight, and looked at some old art and I'm seeing some crappy old 'seams' that I'm saddened to think that other people have been seeing and I haven't. :(

Is there any way to know that your monitor is hitting "industry standards" and your monitor is showing what everyone else's is showing? IS there a standard??

Oh, you probably actually wanted a link or something. There are a few different tests listed here. Always choose the free ones. Everything else is bullshit IMHO.
