He's written so well is so many stories (and equally written poorly in others) that he remains my favorite character. Not my favorite "movie" character mind you, just SW character overall. There is quite a few Boba stories out there that you may like if you've never read them before.

Anyone else want to form a club who willfully deny the "origin" of Boba Fett and the Stormtroopers from Episode II? I'm sorry but I hate the explination, I hate the demystifying of Fett and I hate when a storyteller explains to much.

Sorry, while Episode 1's only redeeming feature was the lightsaber duel at the end, I didn't have nearly as much a problem with Episode 2 as some of you. Jar Jar was finally a minor character, which was a dramatic improvement for me; Anakin was far more interesting to me than when he was a poorly acted kid (though I *totally* agree the dialogue/acting was not near the quality as Empire); I really enjoyed the one-on-one fight of Jedi vs. Fett; and while Anakin's fall from grace is not as captivating as I truly wanted, there were moments I enjoyed. Maybe I'm too soft? And I guess my lack of knowing much more than the Heir to the Empire series (like Ekade) beyond the movies must explain why Boba Fett's origin doesn't mean a thing to me. So he was a kid and had a "father" bounty hunter who was his clone. So? Was he supposed to have walked out of the mists of time or something?

Oh, and I could see the clone stormtroopers still being possible (since their origin is still so shrouded in mystery). We're talking about an army of millions. A number of baselines could have been used, unlike only Jango, so different heights could be possible. And still more could be actual recruits that get utterly brainwashed--seem to recall that being suggested in one of the original comics but I'm no expert.

Last put, PLEASE tell me it's only a rumor that Lucas is planning on modifying stormtrooper heights and voices for the DVD release! That's too ridiculous to be real! Who wants that??

Hey I'll break it down for every one that cares what I have to say. Fett is only as cool as the writer wants him to be. Some writers like those behind the Bounty Hunter Wars Trillogy make Fett into what many of us want a true asss kickin brave who will always bring in the merchandice. Other writers desided to try to humanize him by puting sappy lines that just dont fit with what others have written about the Bounty Hunter. Then of coarse there's Lucas who sells out at seeing an opportunity to resycle the Boba Fett toy mold comes up with a lame reason to put a Boba Fett look alike in the second movie and go back on the continuom (a personal pet pev of mine).

If you're a Boba fan, like me (guilty and proud), then you have taken a bried movie character, chosen stories about him you liked, and inside your own mind turned him into a favorite.

When it come down to it thats all that matters, right? Who cares what Lucas did to him or some of the shittier stories out there. I mean, do you care when someone walks up to you and says "Star Wars sucks! Its so freakin' stupid. All of it!"? Nope, you'll go on playing this game and other such SW related items. All the good things about Star Wars buried themsevles in your head and you love it. Your reasons are yours alone, no one will change you mind.

So walk away from the stupid Lucas explination. Leave behind the bad Boba comics and books. Ignore the cold hard facts about his role in Eps. 5-6. Take what you like it and hold on for dear life.
