Well not being a smuggler i'm not 100 percent sure but I believe you have to speak with a recruiter and donate to their cause when conversing with them. And I believe it's something like 125-130 credits for 1 faction point. Not sure if that helps. But i'd look at your conversation options possibly.

Unless they changed it here's how I did it once.

You have to be near a recruiter and overt.
Then to transfer faction points to someone you type /delegatefactionpoints and the number to that person. With Underworld IV the cost of transferring the factions points is greatly reduced. Its not a 1-to-1 transfer but its better than transferring 500 points and it costing you 800, and so on.

Thats just what I know from the one time long ago I did it when I was still a Smuggler.

But I thought Smugglers can only sell FP for credits and not the other way around. If you want to do that all you have to do is talk to a recruiter.

BUYING Faction Points from a recruiter is worthless. You pay 10k to get 125 of them, and as the site Keer points out, you can only gather 500 of them at any given time.

Then consider that the going rate for selling FP is about 100 creds per 1 FP. I once bought 2000 FP from a Master Smuggler for about 200k.

The problem is that in the delegation of the sale, you lose a CRAPTON of them (when you're delegating). As this site illustrates, it's not even worth selling FP unless you're a Master Smuggler *AND* you've attained the highest possible rank (15) in your current faction.

This system, in my opinion, is extremely fubared. Let's face it: If you're a Colonel in *either* Army, you're not exactly "undercover" or "working the system."
