Well, let me ask you this.. would you allow a non-registered hunter to collect payment on a bounty?

No, but I'd say it doesn't work both ways.

A BH who doesn't register gets no credit or reward.

But if a BH has associates or henchmen or whatever and they use them against the mark then you have to ask if its fair that the Mark doesn't get credit for every attempt on the bounty. Fairness would say yes, they get credit. Otherwise one BH has credit for just his accomplishments solo while another gets more credit because they used other people. Gotta find balance her.

Yep, with no points going either way. No points for the non-registerd BH but the Mark still loses the point, since they'd gain one if they win. A loss is still a loss to a Mark's toughness.

Sooner or later this system is going to clash with others, including regular ole RP Bounties. You can't assume to stop it if a player like Ceka registers themselves as a Mark as themselves. When it comes down to it you register to get the rankings and full details.

But this is just top-of-my-head stuff. I've removed myself from any hard decision making here. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

I can buy that. In RP terms, the Mark is dead. Nothing else to do.

Pretty much. But if you think about it how many unregistered BHs would know a Mark is a Mark in the first place? They'd either have to check this forum without registering or find out from a registered client or BH. That shouldn't happen to often.

If we want to avoid griefing from non-registered BHs we could make the Bounty forum (only the Bounty forum) hidden. Then you create a BH usergroup. The admins can then add the BHs to the usergroups when they register as a BH.

The downside is we would have to make client register as BHs too so they can post the bounties in the first place. If we do that we defeat the system because anyone can be a client.

I have been gone for a while.. busy IRL and needed a bit of a break. If there is still interest out there for someone to claim this bounty, please reply here.. if not.. I will be contacting Ekade in game to have the bounty terminated. I will be in game more frequently again.. so the opportunity will present itself.
