Grammar Error in Patch Notes

Some good points, but phonic spellings only won't solve every problem. You've still got the Your/You're problems, and even worse, the to/two/too problem. Strictly phonic spellings of those words (and more) would create potentially as many problems as it would solve. How would you differentiate "we" and "oui"? "I" and "eye"?

No it won't be perfect, but even the potential problems that you suggest would be far, far less than the inconsistencies that we have at the moment.

Hey lets not ge into math! For me 1+1=dust bunny and I admit my math is even wrose then my spelling. Sigh I know I must have atleast half of these words wrong.

Obviously, if you're doing something as important as space travel, use metric. Hell, even use metric when you're laying out roads for all I care. Just keep the signs and the speed limit in Miles. It's romantic and sexy and FAST. It's built into our culture. "I can't drive 88.495!!!!" Just doesn't have the same ring to it. Please. I love Mph. Kph just sounds so....European ;)

But good luck convincing carpenters to stop using the King's Rule for building. Yes, it's easier to *design* a skyscraper in metric, but for the grunts who've been building under the foot system, you're going to cause more problems than solve. I've seen carpenters run LAPS around me when it comes to doing math for cutting boards under the King's system.

The same way that we do now, by context.

If I'm communicating verbally sayiing "We could use a wee bit of caution, here." You're going to know what I mean and not get the homophones confused.

If I typed it using "we" for both places, I have faith that the meaning would still be conveyed without confusion.

In the rare case that it is not, then we'll have problems, but stillmuch less than what we get out of the present system.
