This is your idea, so go with whatever you feel is right. Here are my opinions which you can embrace or disregard at your leisure...Dariis wrote:I think no food or spice, but if you robe has skill mods they are ok (after all it is your outfit) as far as armor goes, I think one item (excluding leg/chest/helm) would be ok, personally I like the look of many boots/gloves and bracers. Also I feel dizzy to knockdown should not be allowed, but dizzy to posture change should be allowed (example 2 best pike moves are area2 and hit3, but area2 dizzies, and hit3 lowers posture. same for heavysword, hit3 dizzies and area3 lowers posture)
But if people want dizzy to knockdown im ok with it too because Dariis has 90 defense vs knockdown and 85 defense vs dizzy.
thanks for all the input do far

The primary goal of the rules should be to give as much power to the player as possible to determine the outcome of the match. I think template should be as small of a factor as possible.
My opinions on the various stat-enhancements:
- Doctor Buffs = Very bad. Grossly favors the "mind hitting" professions and the composite armor stuff I am so sick of seeing.
- Clothing = leaning towards no, but I will accept it. I want to be able to wear different outfits when I fight and not feel like I am at a perpetual disadvantage because other people are wearing stat-clothing. I do have stat clothing, but I don't want to wear only that all the time.
- Food = I like. There is a strategy to food and drink. Stomach space is a finite resource... do you go for attack, defense, or dmg reduction, etc. against a particular opponent?
- Spice = I am okay with this. I consider it like a very mini-buff. RP wise, I am not so sure about it.. might not fit.
As far as Dizzy/KD.. I am torn. It takes much of the skill out of the fight in that the first to land a successful Dizzy/KD wins.
