Seriously...group up and do some high end mobs like the Gorax of nightsister elders. The group hunt has been a tried and true resolution to SWG boredom for me. Plus, it will get you ready for when you HAVE to group up to take on a pack of crazed durni. After the Ground update...if it ever happens.

Finding the "in" for your character to interact with others is often the hardest thing to do. Look at your character first. What are his/her goals? Then look at the other character.. What does your charcter want from them?
I have seen people at RP events fail to ever become engaged with the RP around them. I am sure they are feelign what you do at times.
They key thing.. RP generates RP. Once you get rolling, and esptablish a few relationships, thing happen much more naturally.
The other key is to offer hooks. A hook is an excuse for someone to interact with you. You need to talk or emote to create a hook. *Ekade sulks into the cantina, looking sad* is a hook. *Ekade collapses on the cantina floor with two blaster wounds smoking in her back* is a hook. Basically you are saying to other roleplayers.. "Something is up.. talk to to me to find out."
Your character should be doing something that people may become interested in. They should be living their story. A character who is "looking for something to do" is boring.
Sometimes your RP will be the advancement of your story.. sometimes it will be the advancement of other peoples stories. Just go with the flow.
