I love meditation and powerboost. First off, its the coolest stance in the game - seeing someone meditate in a quiet corner of a cantina or in front of a dancer (I think its like a silent compliment when you meditate in front of a dancer). But the healing power, ridding yourself of poison, etc, is invaluable.

It keeps my inventory free of healing meds that I would otherwise need. Plus BF is still there but thats fine, its nice to have a legit reason to visit your local entertainer. :)

To echo Dwilah's sentiments, I have to give it up for tailor as well.

It is the easiest crafting profession to gather the resources for (as quality is irrelevant). You did not have to worry about experimentation. And what you made was something everybody loves... CLOTHES!!!

I picked up tailor as a holo profession and ended up keeping it for 4 months. It was fun building my business and customer base. I could have made a lot more money than I did, but I so enjoy giving things away. Even so, it was profitable.

Creating an item in the game has kind of a legacy feel to it. I still own objects that are almost as old as Gorath itself.. stuff from long gone crafters.. Thoax, Tova, Alyna, Tag Maw, Dazzks, Shooter.. Some I keep just for sentimental value.

I still have the first pair of "shorts" some artisan made for me in the first day or two of the game. A critical part of my n00b outfit. :D

Jabe, I've been meaning to tell you.. You need to see a tailor.

No knock on Seret.. but your look is drab. Look at people like Novall, or Dariis.. they each have a good "look".

Find a tailor who will consult with you.. don't just vendor shop.

Oh wait I mean "low blow". Seriously, there have been few moves in fewer games that have given me as much enjoyment as the Nut Shot. The second I attained it, EVERY bad guy that ever faced X'an Shin (before he retired) received at least one of his mighty crotch blasts.

There's just a certain je ne sais quoi about destroying someone's man(or woman)hood right before you kill them. Hell, some people died from the shock of the blast alone.

Slicing runs a close second, as it had a chance to be very cool. I mean, it was like, ONE update away from being the coolest thing about SWG. Choosing your slice? That's nothing. I used to fantasize about fun little slicing puzzles that the devs could give us when we sliced data terminals. Or slicing my own price on a shuttleport ticket, and then selling it to someone else for a profit. We could have become scalpers. Hell, we could have been smugglers.
BY THE FORCE WE NEED THAT!

and also yeah, I really liked being a master ranger and having my remote field base (which I named something extremely large.. like 16 words or something.. when i factory ran it) and getting everyone to chill out in it. Like there was that big tusken raid event half a year ago and i just dropped one of the camps where Pex spawned to greet everyone lol. Meditation is real cool also, I just love the abilities (Slicing, FD, Meditate etc..) that any class can benefit from and often times go out of their way to get.

Uh, thanks.. I guess. :???:

LOL.. I have to give credit where credit is due. Although Dariis does not brag about it, I am sure he is proud of his pimp-monk wardrobe. The goal being to impress the hotties at the Teras Kasi Monestary, no doubt.

As soon as Jabe told me he was wearing clothes chosen by Seret.. I had to say something. I love Seret.. but with the way he dresses, one has to wonder if those lekku are real.

I sill have a pair of purplish hide boots you made me way back when you were still leveling artisan the first time. And some Begal braclets that Star-Shine gave me before she became tailor.

OH! and I remember Tova, she used to be on Naboo by Theed and had the coolest parlor where people could go in and she would make stuff on the spot. Mind you this was back when I first started and all the clothes were new and facinating to a noob like myself :D

It all started with a Twi'lek named Jame'thiel. She would spend a lof of time making clothing for me, but then I was also a master tailor...and that was the hardest prof an alt of mine ever had to drop.

Yes, I remeber Jame'thiel from the old days. She paid me the best compliment I have ever gotten in game, it actually changed my perspective on the game.

She was a real pro when it came to tailoring. She actually had apprentices.

Speaking of apprentices... Dariis, what time do you usually play?

usually tues-sat after 6pm PST and logged on a lot of sunday and mondays. btw are you thinking of mastering Teras Kasi alone? or are you looking for melee stacking? if just Teras Master, (trickshot) from pistoleer gives the best defenses of any tree. (40 to blind/dizzy/stun and 50 to kd). might be worth getting for defenses.
