I agree with you, But there is a problem. Every MMO has that, there is some Guy out there who wants to be neo, and some chick wanting to be his trin, but look at SWG, I mean hell we have everyone wanting to be the bad ass Boba fett ((Im guilty here, but I have been trying to tone it down)), or be the best Han solo, its in every game and it will always be when the game itself is not orginal. WISH online which was cancled was a great game, based abosolutely nothing at all except the genre of UO and other medevil games, any MMO that has a back story or movies will always have a wannabe billy badass, actually im sorry every game will.As for in the matrix, yes my toon is pretty beefy, yet I have fought players a few level *cough* 5 exactly *cough* and got my ass handed to me cause they had a certin skill that helped while I went all martial arts, there is a level of balance, yes but if you do your skills right no matter what, you will have a weakness no matter your level. Thats how it should be, as for RP, I didnt intend on RPing yet but at the club the chick I hooked up with started to and I played a boring Network engineer who did nothing with his life and now finds himself working for the exiles. Rp is in every MMO, its just a matter of who you find and you try to rp with.Dwilah wrote:The only potential problem with this game, and with RPing in this game, is that it's popular because it plays off "I am awesome" popular culture thing. You know, anime-esque, vinyl, pop-goth, martial arts, everyone can be cool and powerful as long as you have the link. It's the ultimate fantasy world for today's world...I dunno. I liked the first movie a lot, and I enjoy toying with the ideas the Matrix brings out, but the world itself doesn't appeal to me as an RP theater...and the problems we sometimes see where characters play themselves in "god-mode" in this game, I see loopholes in Matrix RP where in that universe it would be completely acceptable.
