Scum & Villainy isn't what you take from it, its what you put into it. We can't make everyone who goes act like a criminal thus making the tone and feel darker but we can each individually do something about. In the past I have used S&V night to conduct all my criminal business. I've made arms deals there, hired thugs there, hired Smugglers there (I highly recommend Keer, he's the no-fuss-no-muss smuggler) and plotted a few capers there as well.
The idea is to give people a place that has not occupied by Imperials or protected by the Rebels. Its a place where you know you can conduct shady business or maybe hire a criminal or two. Now if I were to go there and get polite "tea time" replies" then I'd probably avoid giving them my business but I won't tell them they are doing it wrong. That's that was Player X wants to RP and who am I to tell them how it's done.
So I suggest listening to Keer and keep at it. You're doing your part so no worries there. The right people will show up at the right time sooner or later.
ok but all i'm trying to say is:
if i had a party in r/l and i said "superbowl party" and people come over, and i don't have the game on and i'm watching american idol...i don't think that's right. I was just making a commentary that there seem to be too many criminal masterminds, and not enough henchmen if you will.
I feel like i'm in a bond movie rather than a dangerous bar with thugs.
sorry that i insulted you, but what's new...i mean...i'm alonzo
