LOL
Best part of that movie. Really puts into perspective how good a spin Star Wars put on everything

Nobody ever thinks of the civilians unless it's good news for their cause. ;)
Well, I'm also in agreement kinda. I'm sure there are some rebels just as corrupt. Just never shown in the movies.Seret Sajet wrote:Ok Isleh, ya got me. You win. I give up.
Yep, corrected... Let me rephrase.Sai'nu wrote:Han Solo *cough* *cough*
Good guy or not... smuggler... worked for Jabba... Heh, corrupt, Isy, corrupt!!!
If you want a quirky point of view on this one consider Darth Vader; Only think of him as Anakin Skywalker 'evily' serving the Alliance. He always knew what was the right thing to do; it took a final epiphany for him to act on his instincts though; As Anakin Skywalker 'turned' to Darth Vader... you could say he evily served in the Alliance in the end. I do think this is the 'only' character from the movies that we could put this twist on though and call it evil serving the good.Isleh wrote:Yep, corrected... Evil in the Alliance.
Not nessisarily. He didn't kill the Emporer for the Alliance. He did it for his son. It's like saying a bank robber is on the side of the law when he kills his partner in the robbery to saving his son from getting killed by the partner.Sai'nu wrote:If you want a quirky point of view on this one consider Darth Vader; Only think of him as Anakin Skywalker 'evily' serving the Alliance. The Jedi served the ideals of The Old Republic (he was twisted into standing for something it did not); while the Alliance was organized to bring back these ideals of government to the galaxy. Through his sacrifice, even if it was personal, it did ultimately serve the Alliance and the Republic Anakin once was a part of. So, what I said was true, from a certain point of view.Jerrel wrote: Not nessisarily. He didn't kill the Emporer for the Alliance. He did it for his son. Ah, you jedi with your bloody points of view! Speak the Emperor's good Galactic Basic!Through his sacrifice, even if it was personal, it did ultimately serve the Alliance and the Republic Anakin once was a part of. So, what I said was true, from a certain point of view.
ooh! Some excellent points to discuss here..Rebecca wrote:The main problem with a roleplay environment of any sort... ESPECIALLY when it comes to Star Wars Cannon... A quote from a friend of mine. "Wait wait wait... This game is based on a series of movies?"
The Reality of Gorath is... The Rebels are winning the War. They own all the planets, they have more jedi, they have weekly bunker busting missions designated by an organized High Command.
I disagree, the game DOES allow for us to play Star Wars from the movie view. The game DOES NOT prevent players from playing outside of the scope of the movie view.Is that the game doesn't allow for our movie view of the Star Wars Theme.
I've always operated under the premise that I am in a world that follows the movies. The Empire has all the power, the Rebellion is sneaking around, etc.We as roleplayers must make a decision. Are we going to follow the storyline in the movies? Or make up our own, based on the observations our characters make on the world that we are interacting with?
