Damn, looks like Griggs is calling it quits for good. He says that he deleted all of his characters...
It seems there were one too many hiccups in the guild war system that he put together and he "lost his steam". I would view it with a good amount of skepticism if it weren't for the direct personal message he sent me. I think he's serious.
Too bad. He was a good RP'er going back a long way before I really got into it. Decent and imaginative player.

As of my last login all the wars with DF had been ended. We fought a few huge battles, vastly outnumbered and lost accordingly, so we trimmed DMG-I off the war list as no other Imperials were coming forward.
After this, I believe the war was dropped by the other guilds on the Rebel side. Right now, there seems to be a moment of peace. I expect it to break down to individual guild challenges as the perception at least from my point of view seems to be that the Rebels are only ready when they have 6 guilds to 2 and a massive army assembled. I have to give kudos to the Rebels for having the people ready to fight and organized. I only wonder if the war would have even started had the Declarations of War gone out one at a time.
That's just my take on the situation, it's not meant to be a flame. I absolutely loved the wars as they lasted and am sorry to see them end over ego-stroking and lack of Imperial support. Hopefully the issues will be resolved and the wars will get back on track.

Yes, he really is serious, unfortunately. Alonzo made post dedicated to him listing some of Griggs' accomplishments and his relationship with the server's most famous General.
I did not have much personal interation with him until this week when I joined DF for the xXx war. He seems to be a great person in and out of game and truly a loss to the whole SWG community

Man I thought this forum would be cool with RP and such but really the mods here are lame.
Love you guys in game but I find your comments about threads pretty offensive.
CENSORS are the scum of the earth ;)
Well maybe I'll see you all in game.

Typically, I don't take offense to personal comments directed at me by my friends (I am the only mod in this forum so you must mean me).
You, however, are not my friend. Take your insults elsewhere. I have asked you (among others) to keep the forums from insulting other users. You blatantly defied a reasonable request by insulting the team that runs a site which THEY own. Good idea, Einstein.
If you want to post like you're on the SOE boards, I suggest you go there and do it. These forums are not intended to be used as a way to feel better about yourself by being abusive to others.
Locked.
