The employer should always remain secretive from everyone other then the hired BH. Its just gonna make it that much more fun. Also, rules need to be put into place that keep hunters from hunting themselves to often. I say that cause if party A gets ticked that they got killed by BH B, then party A is gonna hire BH C to take out BH B and the cycle is gonna be never ending. We have known bounty hunter guilds...and I think we should keep the hunters confined to these guilds for saftey of the play. I'm in no way trying to undermine any possiable freelancers...but I think that we need to be careful to keep things organized somewhat.
I also think that if your gonna be hunted...then you need to be prepared to get killed. *if* someone puts themselves on the bounty block, they should be prepared everytime then log in for a possiable hunt.
Anyhow...my thoughts.
Lol...why does my name come up everytime one of these threads do? :P

According to the system that JavierLQ posted, people actually sign up to be in the Mark Pool. Hunters need not be in this pool, therefore this would keep them from hunting eachother.
I'm not sure if you guys want to adopt this concept into the system you are developing or not. I just wanted to mention it.
I think being an informant will be fun.

I'm down. And I'm willing to take it to the illest level of criminality too!
As long as it's not a gratuitous system, I'm in.
Many smugglers have been yearning for this chance since day one. I'm pressed for time right now but when I come up with something new to add, y'all know I'll be a' postin' !

I think the hunters should be hunted at times...it keeps them on their toes.

I propose all who are interested should read the system Javier posted. There are some good ideas there.
We can use this as a basis for our discussion.
It sounds like a large portion of our players here fall into two buckets... Hunters, and Smugglers. Your thoughts would be very helpful in this.
Another thing we should discuss is scope.. the Javier systems seems to be a game withing a game. Some of the ideas that you guys have mentioned seem to be more RP focused. What are we creating? A game withing a game.. or more of an RPvP "engine"? In other words.. what are we trying to accomplish?

Seeing a frined of mine in game the other night reminded me of something else. This also brings about the posibiity of another less known/seen career field. That of the hunt sabatour. Basically, they're the folks that a person with a bounty on their head would hire to get them/keep them safely away from a BH. Got a friend in game who is 'retired' from such a profession.

You asked what we were trying to accomplish with this?
I dont think there is any reason why we cant have a "game within a game" as well as for RP reasons. I am just really trying to find more fun in the game...otehr than the mindless grinding. RPing helps that alot, but also it would be fun to hunt other players.
