Novall, Z's response was not to your's. You point *IS* valid and I am in agreement. Z's point is that he (most likley) felt singled out by Jabe's post.

If some people are really interested in helping the community, they are going to have to get over what has happened in the past.

Can we please open this discussion again in a civil manner?

E-bo Obi wrote:Okay, here's the thing. It would be great to see everyone hang out together and all but when you really look at it from an RP perspective do you really think that all these people would hang out with each other? No. I can honestly think of no real reason why my character would want to go to an imperial town.

But that being said there are too many different personalities to think that everyone will get along IRL and that people would hang out with each other. I don't think any of these events have trouble getting crowds as it is. They all have their players that are drawn to them and its just something we will have to live with.

The personality issues that seem to flare up on this topic need to stop in general. I am not singling anyone out. Everyone involved in this are adults. Act like it on the forums. Destroy each other ingame or in PM's. I don't care. But quit airing your dirty laundry in public.
Seconded. E-bo said it best so I won't repeat it.

This is the one and only warning. Keep the dirty laundry out of the thread or it gets locked. If you want to discuss better ways to plan events and work together so the community does not have to chose or miss out on anything please do.

Everyone is welcome to post their events on any day they wish. No one's event will be turned away within reason (use common sense on that one). We only HOPE you will all be civil and considerate of others when planning your events. Is that too much to ask.

Like I said, final warning. Don't let this thread get locked.

Lock it.

I'm tired of expending energy just to open up awareness on something that continues to be (in my eyes) a downward trend. I have around 10-12 guild membrs on at one time, and 90% of them end up wherever I'm going to be that evening because thats how we are. I wont have it thrown in my face at anytime after I make this post that people dont see me or my troops at XX event. How can someone know who their going to "blend" with if they dont get a chance to experience all the possiabilities?

Something I've always wanted to do was goto Ruby Lake and see whats going on there, but honestly....I've never been able to get away from things going on elsewhere to make it.

I want to be able to support every RP event possiable, but its not feasably going to happen this way...and It really makes you feel like your setting a bad example when someone says "You have never been...so you dont know." yet your suppsed to be a "leader" in said community.

Anyhow...I understand personalitiys dont mesh well with certain events, but atleast give people the chance to find out.

Here goes: *SIGH*

-The Friday event time is the only viable option for The Kreetles. The band has been formed using The Roba schedule to find new members. If players couldn't make that event, they weren't invited to join....therefore, Saturday nights (as an example) aren't viable. 90% of our roster is unable to meet for a Saturday gig. The band already performs on Sundays and Tuesdays (and the Tuesday event is usually worked by only 4 Kreetles). Other days are worth considering, but our performance would be dilluted and unprofessional. Call me a liar, but Zyre and I are the only ones that know the band's availabilty.

-There have been no complaints made by TTF or The Kreetles about other events scheduled during the Friday shows. Neither group (to my knowledge, as The Kreetles have discussed it loosely) is offended by cvcholo event, and a DWB run shouldn't affect attendance too much, for either of us.

-I agree totally with E-bo and Trasgo. If there are people that are willing to host an event, there are people willing to attend it. Splitting the community isn't the issue. Giving people options will better fill their needs. I'm certain you will all agree that there will be more players finding something fun to do, this evening (something that fits their likes/dislikes), than if we only had a single event. A variety of events is an offer to players, not a demand.

I will be at two of the four events, tonight...I may try to attend three, if I can manage it. I hope everyone has fun, and if they know a way that The Kreetles can improve the Friday experience, please PM me.

I love having the Ruby Cardinals event to go to after performing with the Kreetles. It was a great atmosphere last week and I can't wait to go back tonight! :D

The time frames work out fairly well too in that the RC party starts a couple hours after the Kreetles gig. While there is overlap, it is very possible to enjoy both.

It was cool watching the people from the Kreetles gig trickle into the RC party last week. It was a whole new mix of people, which I thought was great.

Now, if everything was the way I wanted it, The Kreeltes and the Roba would not have gotten divorced. That way I could easily 1) RP at the Roba, 2) Perform with the Kreetles, and 3) Enjoy the party and RP with the Ruby Cardinals.

I have to choose between 1 and 2 unfortunately. Yet another reason why you should all surrender control of the universe to me.

I know how you feel. Remember my post "We ran into a Bounty Hunter last night..."?

A simple misuse of the word "grief" and my request to help educate new BHs turned into a flame war and my intention to help aleviate the problem was completly ignored.... Locked.

This forum isn't locked yet and there are people who actually like having more than one thing to do.

Iago's post indicates that we (the kreetles) can't change our schedule because of every's sechedule.

I say use what we've got and *maybe* create events and storyarcs that can span all the events that happen on Fridays.

Its not a big issue to me. I was simply stating that the newest event was a Kreetles event and the scheduling hasn't changed. I like how they're "touring" and the fact they often end up at Lost City which is two minutes from my front door.

I am not pointing the finger at anyone. I am just daring people to run events on other nights if they can pull it off.

The Kreetles aren't touring. We have a gig in Tranquility and Lost City, every other week. That won't change unless we meet to decide to change it.

The newest events are not The Kreetles events, as they have been occurring regularly for some time.

Personally, I welcome more events...even if they coincide.

I see the lessons in Faming 101 are beginning to do some good. Please remember to have you paper in by next friday. It will count as 40% of your overall grade.

Who's flaming who?

The DWB event is not a weekly event. So what you're saying is that one time events should never attempt to take place on Friday nights?
Isleh wrote:"Hey Iago, Hey Zyre, Think we could spread out the events a bit if possible? Maybe Sat if you can do so? Roba and Ruby Lake are kinda already established and I think a lot people would like to attend both their event and ours"

... then again, I can't help it sometimes.
Hey Isleh, guess what?

http://swgtales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4562

You'll see Iago's response saying it is band business and is being considered. Since I haven't heard anything since, I assumed it wasn'y going to change.

I am getting highly criticized for what I have said in this thread. So I ask you, the general public to set me straight. Here are the facts as I know them:

A) The Roba event is on of the oldest on the server and has always been on Friday night.

B) The Ruby Cardinals event has been ongoing on Friday nights and the only difference now is that someone here is posting the event (which in my opinion is a good thing).

C) The DWB event is a one time event rescheduled from Tuesday since many people could not show up.

D) The Kreetles event is the the newest weekly event on the server and for whatever reason they have parted ways form the Roba. They are currently running their event on the same time slot.

E) As Isleh pointed out above I have asked politely about looking at other nights of the week and have not gotten a real response until Iago posted in this thread.

All I ask at this point is to be corrected on anything above that has been misstated. If I am wrong, I really want to know.

And i'm always the one to refute a BS response....

Someone wanna try adding everyone to their friendlist and seeing if the band really looks like it couldn't get enough epople for a saturday timeslot? There's like 30 people in the band these days, or honorary, or being considered, etc. I'm sorry, i don't believe that 10 or more couldn't show up ona saturday night.

I wish they'd just stop witht he PR crap, admit there was a competitive nature to it, and at the very least its staying in this time slot because it was simple (since it was the timeslot they always played at)

I just find it hard to believe that magically, new members of the kreetles, whom i've never spoken to, have some apparently innate dislike of TTF and the Roba if SOMEONE amongst the leaders aren't spreading gossip and talking down.

A lot of people get pissed at me for my posts, but there's one thing you'll never be able to say about me, i don't beat around the bush, i don't backstab and pretend to like someone and be friendly when i can't stand them. I'll tell ya straight up if i don't like something, and you'll always know where I stand. You'll NEVER hear a TTF member go "Kreetles? Sorry, i'm not allowed to go see them, i've been told they are a bunch of jerks"

There have been about 5 or more instances that something fishy has gone on like this, and this past week i had enough. Do I blame every kreetle? hell no. Do i blame their leaders for either a) spreading or b) not stopping rumors and gossip? Yes.

All I'm saying is if you're gonna have an attitude, have enough balls to show it and quit hiding behind some twisted PR campaign that we're all hugs and kisses.

I'm gonna as you guys once, if you're going to throw down like this, you take it to our very fine PM system. I don't want you guys shitting up my boards with accusations and blaming. All this is shaping up to be is a smear campaign to create two sides in our community here, and I'm not going to let that happen on my watch.

This is the final warning and they only one you guys get from me...take it to PMs and leave the heathy conversations for the public forums.

I would like to publicly apologize for anyone on this thread that felt singled out by my comments, this includes the Kreetles specifically. People want this topic to go away and after this I intened to do just that. After talking to Isleh in tells I realized its not worth mincing words.

I'd rather just still be on good terms with everyone than to try to sort out the Friday night line-up or who did what.

I think I can sum this up tactfully for everyone. We all have what we call our own points of view. I think everyone here can at least agree on that much. Never should we let a game come between the constructive nature this site has to offer.

Do some of us get mad at each other over RP? You bet your frills, lekku, and horns we do!

However, I think we'd all like some form of agreed to peace on these threads as well. Read your forum polocies. And, if in doubt, ask a moderator about something in PM 'before' you post it.

We're all falable people that make mistakes. In that regard we might as well say we're all guilty of flamming an issue here or there at some point; Myself included.

Let's just do what we do best... RP and discuss ways of making it Better on Gorath. 'Everyone' in this community has something to add to it!

I appologize, I was under the impresion that the Ruby Cardinals event was new. I love the party and have been attending it every week, since I found out about it. The Kreetles that stay awake that late usually attend, as well.

My statement that the band cannot function and perform a professional event on another night is one I will stick by. There is no reason to confirm that information for anyone, and I calmly request that anyone desiring knowledge about how the band is run PM me and not make false or assumed statements on a public forum.

I'm fairly certain that no member of the band has any ill feelings toward TTF. I've recommended the guild to friends and people I know outside of SWG. It's a well-run, fun group of people that has only shown respect for me and helped me out.

I appologize for directing this to you, Alonzo, but the only, other than me, Kreetle that you've interracted with several times has developed an opinion of you on her own. I don't know what she thinks of you, and I won't ask. Individual opinions are not something I'm interested in. I will honestly say, I've never badmouthed you to any member of the band. I've stated that your name will remain as an honorary membe of The Kreetles until the time that you request to be removed or someone else has found reason to bring it to a vote. I feel you've done some good work for us and deserve that title which was given to you very early on.

No Kreetle is barred from attending The Roba or any other event. Some bandmembers attend The Roba instead of our own event, occasionally. I'm unsure who has the attitude, but I think discussing it should be kept to PM's as well.

I've offered to fix any misinformation brought to me about The Kreetles. If anyone has an issue, please bring it to me directly, so I can handle it without any more degrading of the band's reputation. I'm not the best about checking tales frequently, but I do handle my PM's and IG email as fast as possible. I will gladly answer any questions asked, and attempt to resolve any issue brought to me.

I appologize for not announcing that the band does not plan to change our event time in the forseeable future. It is still open for discussion among the members.

We're currently discussing a new venue for our Friday shows. Any opinions on a thread or possible discussion forum for current Kreetles information and plans? If this looks like a PR scam, I withdraw the question.

Viceroy Odantis wrote: .... don't believe that 10 or more couldn't show up ona saturday night.

Addressing this with zero flames. I promise. :)

1. I would love to do things on Sat night. Yes, many of us are online, but we do have other things to do besides play with the band. Many of us, like myself, have other responsibilities (guilds, cities and other events). So, as we might have all 18 current members online, this does not mean we are all free. :D

2. I personally do not care for some members of TTF. However, these are *my* opinions only and I have never ever told anyone to stay away from The Roba, agree with me or whatnot. If someone asks my feelings, I will express them. I would NEVER ask anyone to avoid the guild/event. I would be interested if someone is saying that I told people to stay away, as it's simply not true. I encourage people to make their own decisions. I would never dream of telling Alonzo or Toront how to run their guild, their RP and city, as I know they would give me the same respect. I encourage people to attend ALL events, and *choose* what they want to do. I also like people to hit both the Roba, Ruby Lake and The Kreetles events for Friday, as they're quite different.

I have issue with certain members, which are *personal*. However, I believe that this should not affect how my *character* interacts with any TTF member. My character has no problem at all with TTF or any of its members. She's also not stupid enough to give her opinion about the empire or anyone who follows the Emperor. :D

Please PM me if someone has said differently. I'd like to handle this privately and in an adult manner, which is something that many outside this community cannot seem to grasp. :) We're a passionate lot here, and I think we all *do* have the right idea in trying to get past all the bickering.

We don't have to like each other, each other's guilds or whatnot, but this doesnt mean we should be disrespectful publically.

Sorry for the long ramble. I think the more we communicate, we can get through the hurts, anger and move towars a more positve experience for *all* roleplayers.

Unfortunately you can't please all the people all the time. That is where we find ourselves with the Friday night situation. We have Roba fans, we have Kreetle fans, and we those (like me) who are fans of both. There is no way to make everyone happy in this situation.

I've missed 1.5 Friday night Kreetle gigs because I was spending time at the Roba. Iago was completely cool with it, he gave me no flak whatsoever.
