I think I saw a headline at login a while back that talked about server moves WITH items Jabe.
Server consolidation is a stretch, but I think the tools (should enough rp'ers agree to it) to make a mass move of rp players to one server are being set up.

For those that are unaware.. they do have RP and PvP servers in WoW.
Do they enforce RP on the RP servers? No.
So what is good about RP servers? Well, the benefit comes from the overall population of the server. On any server, of any type, there will always be bad apples. I've found that overall, on my WoW RP server, the people seem generally very nice, mature, helpful, and enthusiastic.
All an RP server will buy you is the chance that there will be more like-minded people (roleplayers) on that server than there otherwise would be. Based solely on that, I think an RP server is a good thing.
Getting the roleplayers together is all I want. When that happens, the magic develops naturally.

Actually, on RP servers on WoW, they have enforced RP rules and I know of one specific case where a player's character's name was changed to fit in with the world.
If they designate servers, the DEVs can implement features that can make the different groups happy. The current system lumps everyone together and tries to appease everyone. You can't. It just makes sense to try to group like minded players together.

I second the opinions of Ekade and Isleh.
I have been screaming about an RP server since... well, since I can remember.
