No wonder I thought that Wizard magazine always sucked...their hole purpose is for giving out hummors!Jerrel wrote:See what some of you dont seem to really get is that this hole list is for hummor.

Not to try and start a geek debate, but the Force has never been powerful enough to do anything other than move objects or see into the future. It has never granted a user the ability to transport themselves or others across time and space, or prevent such an ability.Jaminos wrote:Yes but there is the possability the force could stop such things from happening.X'an Shin wrote:
Because Wesley? Could possibly wish Luke Skywalker out of existence. I believe towards the end of the show they hint that he could be more powerful than the Q, that he is the next stage in human evolution or something. I guess whoever typed up that list just stopped watching ST:TNG like after season 4 or whatever.
There are times when you're wrong, and this is one of those times.
Glad to see you're weighing in on an argument well informed and with authority.Jaminos wrote:Besides I hardly watched Star Trek I liked next generation but I only remember a handful of episodes for I was still young when they were out.

Of all of the Star Trek flavors, I prefer Deep Space 9.X'an Shin wrote:Not to try and start a geek debate, but the Force has never been powerful enough to do anything other than move objects or see into the future. Well, I've always liked both really.
I think I'll always be able to look at both and relate to those... Everything I ever need to know I learned from... posters.
Both, essentially, to me have always been Space Operas that teach us some deeper meanings of Humanity. Now, granted, we've got the aliens, lightsabers, phasers, etc, etc...
But both of these are concepts thought up by us... humans and reflect that in the stories; Love, Deciept, Teamwork, Good vs Evil... it's all there in both of them.

Star Wars was long, long ago. Star Trek is the future. Q was the ultimate aim of the Force all along, until Wesley came along to balance it.

As a fan of both (well, mostly TNG and some of DS9...after that, I wanted to shoot people...), I had to chuckle at the red shirt one. Everyone loves the red shirt.
I will say that ST has a much cooler talking 'droid than SW.
Data > C3PO.
Even if he does have the cheesy 'evil twin' plot every now and then. As for Data vs. R2D2...don't make me choose. ;)

As funny as that was (I did chuckle), it's also out of date, as TNG intentionally made red shirts cool again.Oroho wrote:As a fan of both (well, mostly TNG and some of DS9...after that, I wanted to shoot people...), I had to chuckle at the red shirt one. Everyone loves the red shirt.
They made the red shirt the "Officer's" uniform. The red shirt hasn't been a curse for over 30 years now. Now you need to be careful if you're in a yellow shirt.

I did a search for lists where Trek fans bash Star Wars and couldn't find any. But lists the other way around are EVERYWHERE. I am not sure what it is about Star Trek that get SW fans bashing it.
Sorry I like Star Trek at least as much as I like Star Wars. With that being said there is also plenty of Trek episodes and even a series that I just don't pay any attention to.
This argument is like Linux vs Windows.. Linux = Star Trek, it has dozens of flavors.

Ability to make projectile weapon out of practically nothing for teh win!
And I thought Trando's were supposed to be good hunters. You know if we ever get involved in a SW versus ST debate.. SOMEONE is going to throw this episode in our face.
Nice job Skor.. way to blow it for us.
