Dude, have you been WATCHING the new BSG? I finally got around to watching the season 2 finale tonight and I was nearly punching my television the cliffhanger was so good.Skorixor wrote:...and the new BSG at #2? right after original Star Trek...that seems incredibly high...
And no, I haven't EVER punched my television. Computer monitor, yes. TV, no.

I have to say that the top ten seemed fairly solid 'till I got to this:
Also, Sliders at #10? The hell? And XENA #11?!? WHO THE HELL VOTED THAT XENA WAS SCI-FI???!??! For the last time, fanboys, FANTASY =/= SCI-FI.
While we're on the topic, other things which are also not necessarily sci-fi:
Comic Books (Hello, Wonder Woman the tv show? Not Sci-fi).
Video Games
TV shows like LOST (who knows, it might be about sci-fi, but they really haven't let that cat out of the bag, now, have they?)
Westerns
D n D
Vampires
Any John Huges movie (and yes, I'm including Weird Science here, for reasons below)
Any sit-com. I don't care if there's "science-y" stuff in it, "My Favorite Martian" is NOT sci-fi. It's COMEDY. Nerds didn't tune in to that show to see cool lasers or battles or mind-bending ideas. They watched it to have a laugh. Please, for the love of god, get your genres straight.
For once, I'd love it if a list stayed true to its parameters.
Uh, no. I LOVED MST3K, but I have to say that if you're watching it for sci-fi, you're watching it FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS. It's about spoofing pop culture, not about sci-fi.Number 9
'Mystery Science Theater 3000'

I had goosebumps with that cliffhanger it was so good. Of course, we're seriously hooked into the characters' heads and their conflicts by now watching too. And the whole scene with Boomer just had me emotionally all over the place.X'an Shin wrote:Dude, have you been WATCHING the new BSG? Europe no longer gets the BSG eps before the US does. I think that was just for the first season.warsloth wrote:new season airs in january here, when does it start overseas???

WHY!!!!!
I need my BSG fix.... That cliffhanger seriously has me wanting more.
One thing they need is more space combat in that show, just give us loads of it. Of course, with the arrival of the Pegasus we should be seeing more. (if you remember in the orig. the pegasus was presumed lost because it stayed behind to allow the fleet time to escape, then was found again giving them enough power to take the offensive.)
as for the list.... stuff like comedy really doesnt apply. Space Balls, mork and mindy, have no place on a Sci-Fi list.

I think the mystery Cylon ship is almost too obvious. It has to be a colony ship. They are tracking Galactica in case it does find this mystery planet Earth and then they plan to finish the job.

You're pretty close but not quite.Sepiv wrote:I think the mystery Cylon ship is almost too obvious. It has to be a colony ship. They are tracking Galactica in case it does find this mystery planet Earth and then they plan to finish the job.
I've heard what the name of the Season 3 Premier ep is, and it pretty much says what that ship is.
PM me if you want to know.
P.S. It has something to do with Cylons. ;D
