Ha ha ha ha ha ha too funny my friend. You're about as middle as I am. Which is to say you (and I) are NOT.
truly I am...I have voted both ways in elections...I vote for the person that IMO will do the job the best...I just happen to be anti-bush for several reasons, and the redneck has been in office for so long, that it seems like I'm ole Lefty over here

How is ONE appointment making them all shitty? You're throwing out the baby with the bathwater there. In fact, up untill Katrina, that "shitty" FEMA appointment had overseen 150 Presidentially declared disasters. Not to take sides here, but I'd hardly call 150-1 a shitty record.
150 presidential disasters in 5 years? that's more than 1 a month...You are usually good with the facts, but this just sounds made up :)

if the 150 is true, I doubt even further that any were on the magnitude of Katrina (excluding 9/11 if he was there then) and I'd wager that all of them don't together don't total up to one Katrina ($$ damage and lives lost)...it doesn't matter if a football receiver catches a bunch of passes, but if he misses the last one that would have won the game, he's still the goat...

I'm friends with you, does that mean I don't know my shit?

;P ;P ;P ;P ;P ;P

ha ha ha ha ha /burstrun
Would you hire me to do game animation for your latest project?

Would I want you in the left seat flying the plane, on an approach down to the absolute lowest weather mins?

answers? maybe if you were making a flying game, and we were flying a sim...otherwise, prolly not...

so who's the dumbass? anyone discussing politics :D

EDIT: added response to the dwi-ster :)

Yes everyone makes mistakes, or doesn't do stuff well, I understand...but elected officials are paid by you and me, and when they fuck up, we have a right to call for their heads on a stick...

But that's the thing. It wasn't just him, as you would like to imply. You're quick to play the blame game on FEMA, but are slow to point those fingers back at the local governments. The wide receiver isn't the only guy in the game. What about the quarterback? What about the offensive coordinator? The coach? Do none of them share the blame?

It's also erroneous to say that all of his other disasters don't equal Katrina. Dude, NOTHING equals Katrina. No one was prepared for it, not any home-owner, not the Mayor, the Governor, the Police, FEMA, nobody.

It's one thing to pretend that the guy did a bad job, and criticise him for not having any experience. Fact is, NO ONE had previous Cat 4 New-Orleans style experience. The last time someone was in office when a hurricane of that magnitude hit the Gulf was Camille in 1969. We didn't even have FEMA back then, hell, there were no "Presidential declared disasters 'till 1974, let alone someone to drag out of retirement who had the experience of dealing with it.

So let's not try and compare this to animation or flying planes, of which there is an abundance of qualified applicants, daily.

No, you don't have the right to call for their heads on a stick.

You have the right to cast your vote next election for your candidate of choice. If you we chopped the heads off of every politician every time they screwed up, there'd be no more politicians (as good as that sounds).

Sorry but you do...

the FEMA guy is not an elected official...he was picked by bush for the job, and is paid with my money...so if I want his "head on a stick" for a bad job, then I have a right...

He didn't step down for no reason...he didn't just quit his job because he was doing too WELL a job...he got kicked out and replaced with someone who 1) didn't lie on his resume, and 2) had 30 yrs experience

seems like the replacement shoulda been there in the first place
