I put 2 years into my game only for them to come fuck it up the ass without lube. I may not have 2 years worth of ranting in me, but I ain't done yet.

Im with toront i gave 2 years to this game and a good year and a half into rp even though yall might not have noticed since about 8 months of my rp was with darris and his more secretive rp guilds, but anyhow we payed and played for way to long. We can rant!

How can I explain it? It's like someone putting a plate of calamari down if front a bunch of people at a resturant. Some people love it, some people ( like me ) hate it. So if someone placed a plate of calamari in front of me, I would push it away and say no thank you. What I won't do is this:

Oh this is horrible!

*takes another bite*
God! This is like eating snot!

*takes another mouth full*
I think I'm going to puke!

*takes yet another bite*
I think someone already puked, on this plate!

Well, I've offered up the rant thread now since it's been asked for. And my only problem with this thus far is how this was handled by SOE/LA. I'll rant right along with you about that. No, I don't think it's good we got shafted with only a few days notice.

But what I'm in agreement with here with Isleh at the moment is the fact that some of us really are trying to put forth some effort to testing out the new game and keep up some good spirits about it. Life, as they say, does go on. So too do some of our gamming experiences. Currently, it is those of us here that are whole heartedly giving NGE the fullest chance we can.

Are we finding problem areas with it? You bet your butt we are. But we're trying to be productive about it. Some productivity I might add that some of you have tried very hard to nail into my thick skull.

But what isn't helping in some cases is the chance to cram it down our throats how much some of you absolutely hate the NGE (doesn't even want to count the threads this has overlapped into now). I'm not saying don't complain about it; you do have a right to. But we do need some room for damage control to rebuild here as well. I think that's what I'm asking really. And I do hope everyone can understand that.

I don't come in and just rip into how horrible it is. In standard Toront fashion, I make mostly well thought out posts highlighting what I disagree with (like crafting being worth a damn in current form, or the CU combat not being strategic). I don't come trolling into contructive threads, but I will reply if a post strikes a chord or an issue comes up.

This forum's been made our gripe forum, so just choose not to read it.

And by the way, the analogy is incorrect. I would be griping about the calamari, but not taking anymore bites. I uninstalled the calamari last week.

I felt the need to separate the people who want to complain or constructively gripe about the NGE from the people playing the game. There was too much "I hate" spam in this forum and it was making it hard to navigate toward the threads that are useful for the people still playing the game. Personally, I don't care if someone hates, loves, or is indifferent to the game now, but we have a SWG fan site here and there are people still playing and enjoying it. There are a lot of well thought out complaints and a a HUGE number of legitimate gripes. We just need to try and separate the criticism from the gameplay items so that someone can actually get some use out of the site...so the place can have some semblance of what it was constructed for.

I like Calamari. Been eating it for years at the same restaurant by the same chef. I sat in the same chair everytime I came in. This is what I do. I look forward to doing that when I am at work. The chef is in charge of an aspect of my life that has become very important to me. Sometimes I don't realize how much I enjoy the Calamari or how much it means to me to be able to go eat that same Calamari every day.

Today the Chef started wiping his ass on the Calamari. He told his customers he's not going back, this is the new recipe.

Well, regarding where I choose to sit and what threads I read, I didn't have a choice until now.

Regarding the analogy, it may not apply to you specifically and I'm sorry you feel you have no options but to uninstall the game but there were problems with the CU when it was frist published. I don't know how many speeders I went through on Kashyyyk until they adjusted the agro.

I say the chef wiped his ass on the food and you say its a new seasoning and you like it. You call me an idiot because its clearly not shit and I say its shit. Thats fine. Either way we are not employed by the restaurant and have no clue what the recipe has in it.

What a lot of us are doing is trying to get the Chef to stop wiping his ass on the calimari and get back to the original.

Complaining is most of what I can do at this point. Especially since the last patch since I can't even move. Furthermore all my bug reports get ignored.

In spite of all my effort to carry on, eat the shit smeared calimari and ask for more, I can't even do that.

Don't give me a bunch of shit because I want to lament over my loss. I played this game for around a month with a busted video card, staring at the floor of a house because of mass lag spikes. I have soldiered through the BS of the CU, crippling computer problems, wife aggro, you name it. I may not be the best, or even good at the game or RP, but I still play.

I am the kind of person that if you knock me down, I will keep getting up until I am completely unable to do so. I am trying to get through this, but all I get is a mouthfull of shit, and I can't even choke it down to get it out of my mouth.

When reading my original post, you must distinguish the two parts of it. One is observation and the other is deduction.

Observation:
You continue Isleh's analogy in a way it does not stand the logical analysis. That is why I told you you are letting your feelings get in a way of coolheaded thinking (that was my observation) and consequently making a demagogic statement. There is nothing wrong with it being a demagogic (I don't know what is insulting to that). Because it was, you are implying to people's feelings by resorting to totality when describing a product. Do you disagree?

From what you stated, I COULD deduce what I wrote

I know you don't think people playing it are idiots, but from your statement I COULD deduce so. Since you don't mean it, it clearly supports my judgment, that you are saying out words that have an emotional paint over them and cannot be reasoned.

That is why I reminded you at the end to decide whether you think people playing are idiots (again, which I know you don't) or admit your mistake in writing an emotionally packed statement whiuch stood on faulty logic (that is all I was saying to you).
