I haven't painted tabletop game miniatures, but I have done some models, and some little projects... I should take a picture of my most memorable stuff...

Anyway, for little stuff like eyes I like to use the tip of an exacto knife. Most toothpicks are adequate for some small details, but If you want precision, use something precise. I have found that using unconventional items to apply paint is pretty useful AND fun!

I need to get to painting again. I bought some paints and canvases a while ago, just haven't had the real motivation to paint anything.

Closest I ever got to a tabletop game was MagicTG cards. Everyone did that back in the day.

ya...but the space battle and the ground battle started at pritty much the same time...we would deside who got the planet, have them set up in the system and table(s) and when the enimys ships got withing range of the planet, he would send down "dropships"...and for everone of those i would role a dice to see if it servived...and if multiple tables thay would all show a dif.area of the planet...and wed divide the planet so you can ob one place not the intiere planet......

um....its that simple?

o and the ship+multiple battles thing is VARY frustrating, but i made it that way so i could feel like i can't consentrate on one battle, and if one actualy won the space battle prematurely, he got extra rinforcements, ob...more force deployment slots, and if a land battle was won, you can move those modles to anouther fleald with the rininforcements tables...this can last as the entire battle would in rlb

yes! new battlesuits for tau! new hq,fast attack, and elites and weps as well...o and the space marines too....just thought i should through that out here.....

due to the fact i can't get on in the week...or so thay think, i took up warhammer 40k..i have a panted tau, unpanted imperial guard, space marine armys and im starting to colect eldar.. id like to know who else playes /paints...(i have 16 kroot just watching me and yelling out,"why havent you painted us!") becase my brouther isn't much of a challange anymore

and if you do play, what army/armys?

I've seen the game played but never got into it.

Just curious, what part of Georgia do you live in? I'm in the metro Atlanta area, more specificly, the Dunwoody/Doraville area near Tilly Mill and Peachtree Industrial Bvld.

newnan ga, near canongate elm and northgate high...you can see my house from orbit basicly(not the civ satilites, but those high res, high mag goverment satilites) you know of newnan sports cards? thats where i get the majority of my stuff from
