Your Linguistic Profile:
55% General American English
20% Dixie
15% Yankee
10% Upper Midwestern
0% Midwestern

OMG Im worried about that 20% Dixie. But my parents both had origins in the south. I would go visit my grandparents brothers and sisters in NC and at least to me they had a distinctive drawl to their words. But you would think that growing up and getting my general education in Virginia Id have less Dixie, but then Virginia was the farthest north of the southern states, during the Civil war. So maybe its been a mixing pot since then

The worst thing is I think I have some weird attribute. I pick up whatever accent and dialect people are speaking to me in. Perhaps it is why I never have problem talking to folks when I visit a different regions of the states. But it could just be meeting so many differen people in the military also...

Hell if I know. Like I said in another thread, my give a damn is busted. (( yes I listen to too much c-o-u-n-t-r-y))

You are not alone. Southen-talk is very addictive to me. I find myself wanting to "y'all" after listening to it for any length of time.

If you like something, there is no such thing as "too much"

But I thought this was funny.... I'm listening to Manowar right now (old metal band for those who don't know) and the song "Hail and Kill" happened to be playing as I read your post. And they were chanting "Hail, Hail, Hail and Kill" for the entire length of time I was reading your post..... You'll never hear that in a country song :-D :-D
