Well...actually...I won't. But I'll be quite upset. I'll take my melee elegance over being good in PvP any day of the week. If they make melee like trying to kill someone with a knife in BF2...I will still use it.

I dont think melee is going away, you will just get to chose if you want to whip out a knife or a gun, maybe a Dancer will be able to shoot stuff now too...hmm. Maybe in new system I will make sure to tip more

I have never seen a mis-managed jumble of BS. I equate these "massive" changes to the changes Lucas did to the movies.

WTH ever happened to people providing what the CUSTOMER wants, rather than supplying garbage, and asking that it be consumed.

Because I SO don't have the coordination to play an FPS. And if that's what it means I might as well cancel now.

Imagine all the months people spent grinding jedi being COMPLETELY WASTED!!!!

Imagine melee being like trying to use the shovel as your only weapon in DoD...

Basically picture armaggedon in the game, and not the cool type, freaking rediculous armaggedon, like everyone gets pissed, all the existing people say Screw it! And the servers ALL close after the free trials are all answered by: WTH is this crap?

Twitch is what they use in space... although... to be honest space doesn't work too differently than ground at the moment. Except your in a free flow environment. Tab to target... first and third person view of your fighter/character on the ground.

But... turning this into an FPS... I've already replied to that Galaxies thread that I'm just not interested in another overhaul of the game. Hopefully they get a lot of that kind of feedback.

I would like to point out that they have not released anything official on any of that. That force sensitive thing the tester was talking about? Very possibly something put there on alpha so that people can test Jedi.

Yup good point, alot of knee jerk reaction right now. I just hope they are fourth coming with answers as people ask, cuz all hell is breaking loose in the official forums.

All hell is always breaking loose in the official forums. People predicted the CU would be the end of the game...and it increased the number of accounts.

All we can do is hope that they make the best of this, but plan for them to make the worst of it.

Companies do not liek to commit suicide...they cant survive without the subscribers. Hang in there people and lets see where it leads.

Gotta say though, all I've heard in the two years of playing this game is people upset because things dont work or need to be different. They are overhauling the game 100%. Give them some kudos for even considering to do something that huge. Most companies wouldnt even consider it.

That's the problem though... they always push things too quickly or far untested. I would expect to see us playing with the current CU for at least a year before we see 'another' major overhaul. This was already suppose to be a game improvement.

Yup they could stop updating this SWG and just offer SWG2.

Wow...I'm just now kinda catching up on this. I have to say I'm excited about it, really. The only thing I'd be worried about is losing Dwilah--but it seems that won't be an issue. The idea of reforming servers is a little exciting--consolidation will allow for communities to merge and grow. The game style will be different but what we've read so far, it plays as more fun and interesting, and I've read quotes in the materials that say: this is not an FPS, for the people that are worried about that.

The only thing I'd like to remind people of is that when the CU began, many people were screaming like their fingers were hit with a bat. Many people loved the CU after they gave it a chance. Maybe everyone should try not to be too critical of whatever changes come our way until we actually experience them.
