I think that my finale to the Nutrinous vs Nocturnus storyline went well. I hope everyone had a good time. I'm gonna take a break from big story arcs/events for a while and focus on smaller ones for a while. Hell...I've got two small ones already worked up and on deck...but I think I'll let someone else be GM for a while now. Norel seems to be doing a good job of it already :D

Anyway, thanks guys!!

Expect the next big one from little ole me. I've had something brewing for a while and it should be fun. It will be a while before I can get everything ready though.

Norel's performance will play a big part of it. Its something we're both working out to include in the next event. I should note that his part in the event is his idea and its pretty nice at that. Props to his little performance last night.

My next event will really focus on the SW Underworld. No Imps vs. Rebels, not political debates what so ever (though how Imps and Rebels interacct with the underworld is a factor). What I really show what threaten real outlaws in this game. Jabba doesn't get guff from the Empire and neither does Black Sun, Borvo or Lady Valarian. Criminals only threat is other criminals and thats what this event will explore.

So big thanks for Zannon for another fun event. I know we all had a good time.

Yes, I had a great deal of fun. Maybe I should have gotten buffed before I arrived. :)

I did not know there would be a doctor on hand to rez people. Otherwise I would have stayed a corpse when that BattleDroid killed me. It would have made for better RP.

You guys do great events. I will be trying to RP my way in to more of what you do because I would like to play.. if you are willing to have me of course. :)

I love your idea, Seret, about the SW underworld. I think I am not alone in thinking this is a rich topic with many possibilities.

Great stuff guys!

Yeah, I would have loved to be at this event, but I couldn't make it. It didn't help that Zannon posted on the boards that it was going to be happening on SATURDAY NIGHT. I showed up then, along with Nyase, Rizza, and Ramond. We were all standing around, wondering where the action was then I thought we may have the wrong day. Then Nyase brought up the stellar point that Zannon nor Ekade were even online, then we got the rounds of "Oh no, it's tomorrow night. I can't do it then! Me either! Me Either, etc"

I would like to know what happened, though.

I was hoping to keep E-bo there a little longer. Its tough to get her involved because she doesn't have an outgoing personality.

About an hour into it she got a tell that there were some individuals coming to arrest her and had to slink on out right before the big fight scene...

Oh well. Arifo got to stop by and say hi to everyone.

I know what you mean. I struggle with getting involved myself sometimes. I think some characters have an easier time than others.

Based on what I have observed, there are 2 ways to get involved:
1) Drive the story. Think of how Tramel does it. He shows up and basically makes his presence known and felt immediately.
2) Constant interaction with a group. This is a slower approach, but the idea is that you try to do things with them until you get sort of absorbed into the mix.

Option #1 is faster but it required more effort, definately a more active approach.

I find myself falling into option #2 more often than not. It is good for observing and evaluating, but can take longer than you want it to.

I guess I could also cite a 3rd option that would be to contact some of the mebers of a group and collaborate on how to weave yourself into their story, then RP it out. Option #3 would fall somewhere between 1 and 2. :)

Where did I do that? I'm sorry about that. Was it a leftover from the week before where I tried to move it?

Sorry you couldn't make it...last Sunday appeared to be a bad night for a lot of people becasue it ended up gettting cut short because there were so few people to fight the droids (we still had a good crowd, but I wanted to go another 1/2 hour or so).

I like to get people involved that I see RPing on a regular basis by just throwing them into some of my story arcs (I've seen Coiyonite do this too).

A good example of this was the meeting between Coiyonite and Nutrinous at the Crazy Roba a few weeks back. I knew Oeree was there and he likes to listen in on conversations (not knocking you buddy, it's just an observation :P ), so I made sure we had our talk near him...and he was talking to Ekade about what he heard before we were even out the door. I've found that when I draw people into RP this way, it opens a lot of doors for other interaction down the road.

I'll have to watch for your character and work her into some fun stuff (although it helps me a lot if I have your character's bio...so, go post it or e-mail it to me!!).

Two games. Pffffft. I've worked on five so far this year and that number'll probably be closer to seven or eight by the time the year's over.

But fortunately my hours have remained the same. I feel your pain though, hoss. Can you say which two you're working on?

There is, of course, the option to NOT involve yourself in any particular story, but to play a background role. Scragg would never get involved with other people's problems. He's much too self-centered for that. Scragg is there to enjoy himself and to hell with everyone else.

Other than the surpirse droid invasion, I have to admit I was a little disappointed with last Sunday. Only one person wanted to kill Scragg, and he never had the balls to try anything. Scragg even puked on his droid to try to provoke him, but all he ever did was ask other people to kill him. LOL!

Anyway, Scragg will be back next Sunday, drinking heavy, flirting with the chicks, and looking for trouble. 'Cause that's just the kinda guy he is.

You bring up a very good point that I overlooked. Not all roleplayers are looking for "constant immersion". Some just want to RP at "events". My comments were directed at people who want to RP most of the time.

Sometimes I forget that people actually think differently than I do. :D

E-bo just doesn't go up and talk to people unless she wants something from them or sees the possibility of there being a profitable exchange with them in the future. Hopefully Zannon will get a chance to learn very little about her if we can get that meeting setup.

And I have been working on my bio's... unfortunately a few emergencies keep popping up today.
