can anyone say "terminator"

The project is based on a requirement of the pentagon to make a certain percentage of groung vehicles unmanned by the year 2015.

I think I pooped myself... because the armor suits (hinda like an HEV suit from halflife) should also be in use by then.

Aw man, the moped guys didn't even qualify :(

Discovery or someone ran a documentary on the college kids who entered that contest (or a similar one) with a moped. It was amazing to watch their progress, but I don't think it could handle the really rough terrain.

I used to watch the Army research lab do that stuff. Crazy thing is they have a lot larger than HMMWV's as unmanned vehicles.

what like maybe a hunter killer? Are they going to let them be controlled by a giant AI mainframe called skynet?
