Video games... Should they be movies too?
Has anyone seen "Bubba Hotep"? I saw it on the shelf at Blockbuster and wondered about it.

Read about it in Maxim, I think...sounds like a cross between interesing/funny and a complete waste of time. If I manage to snag it, I'll let ya know how it is.

I gotta think that when Mario Bro came the fact that the game had no story line virtually there was really nothing that could save the movie. Lol. I love that movie though. It's one of those that's so bad but I still like it.
With movie's like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy : Spirits Within I can't see why more games can't move to the big screen. With the increase of game to anime series there's always a potential to build on popular idea.

the only game they could make a movie is the mgs series but it is already pretty much like a movie and they would probally screw it up too

Mortal Kombat was ok. Mortal Kombat sequel made me want to pop my eyes out with a twizzler.

I remember when I was 17 I took my girlfriend to go see this movie. She had no clue about anything Mortal Kombat. The same went for Alien Ressurection, which came out the same summer.dillion wrote:Mortal Kombat was ok. Mortal Kombat sequel made me want to pop my eyes out with a twizzler.
Oh, one other thing. Is that "Walk the Dinosaur" song from Mario Brothers the movie? It has been the eternal quest of my life to find out where I heard that song and kill the man who subjected me to it. It gets in my head and stays there, mocking me with its neverending chorus...
"Open the door, get on the floor
Everybody walk the dinosaur!"

Really fun movie if you like campy horror like me. I mean the movie stars Bruce Campbell as an not-quite-dead Elvis stuck in a nursing home with and old black man that thinks he's JFK. The movie is written and directed by the fine person who gave us ALL of the Phantasm films. You can't tell me you didn't think those flying silver orbs weren't cool as hell and the tall man made you cry.Del'tar Chagas wrote:Has anyone seen "Bubba Hotep"? Give it a rent, its worth it in my book, or find yourself a nice brother-in-law who knows a guy who owns the film and would be kind enough to pass it along so you can see it.
